CP has been providing quality home warranty products since 1998.

"The person performing the service had to make several trips because one of the "new" parts turned out to be faulty. I found both Complete Protection and their local repair contractor to be both very responsive and totally professional at every stage of the repair process."

We’re a home warranty company, a company that believes in providing the best service possible to fix what’s broken. Fast. And while home ownership has never been easy, OneGuard is rooted in the belief that life is more important than a leaky faucet. Life is about spending time with family and friends. It's about enjoying time in the backyard. It's about precious time. Time that you can’t afford to waste. Contact us today for your Arizona, Nevada or Texas home warranty service! A home warranty is limited to providing repair or replacement coverage on items when they break down as a result of normal wear and tear. So, proper use and care of systems and appliances is required for coverage. Non-mechanical parts or components that do not contribute to the primary function of appliances are not covered. Check contract for details. Or call one of our Customer Care representatives. We'd love to chat with you.

"I’ve been a OneGuard customer for over 10 years, but my recent experience was deeply frustrating. After waiting 10+ days for Sunbelt Electric (their only approved contractor), their tech, Frank, diagnosed a bad fan motor—yet OneGuard refused to replace it and still billed me the service fee. Customer service was unhelpful, offshore, and confusing, so I ended up paying out of pocket to fix the motor. I felt misled and stalled at every turn, and I can no longer recommend OneGuard."

"This company showed up unannounced, trespassing into our property, and started messing with our outside AC unit WITHOUT confirming that they were at the WRONG address. To add insult to injury the technicians cussed me on their way out when I corrected they were at the wrong location. All we wanted was an apology from the technician but airtron “does not do that.” A voucher was offered for our multiple calls and video submissions of the incident. So, if they’re late to your appointment there’s a high chance they’re at the wrong address carefree as can be. This company needs a serious leadership and management skills course."

We provide a robust array of solutions, each precisely tailored to accommodate the unique soil conditions of various neighborhoods. Additionally, our portfolio includes preventive services designed to reduce the necessity for subsequent repairs. The majority of our systems come with a trust backed and transferable lifetime warranty, underpinned by comprehensive insurance coverage to safeguard against potential catastrophic events. Our expansive, specialized expertise ensures superior results for all your foundation requirements

"Feels like a scam. The previous owner of our house used this service and declared that it had a 'lifetime transferable warranty'. Unfortunately, the small print on that is incredible. As the new owner, I wanted to have someone check possible cracks (no way of validating if they do good work, I guess!) but I found out that unless you notify them that there is a new owner within 30 days of buying the house, the warranty is void. Soooo, a new homeowner, with all the stress of moving, is going to know to read all the fine print of a legal agreement. I get it, they protected themselves legally, but really, they created the concept of 'lifetime transferable warranty' to sell sell sell, knowing full well that with the amount of houses that change hands, chances are that vast majority of people will NOT call to update a name in a database (because THAT really impacts the quality of the work), and so therefore they have an unlimited ability to keep pouncing on the same property over an over again, even though it had a 'lifetime transferable' warranty. Shame on you for preying on people. A really company would stand by their work, not hide behind legalese because they are scared of a database name change. Based on that, I fear they really can't back up their work."

FAQs for home warranty projects in San Antonio, TX

Many benefits come with buying a home warranty when selling your home, but there are drawbacks to consider, too.

Pros

  • Peace of mind of home repair coverage

  • Incentive for buyers

  • Transferability to new owners

  • Prevent post-sale issues

Cons

  • Expensive cost

  • Exclusions of certain features or appliances

  • Coverage limits

  • Often difficult to understand

  • Potential wait for claim service

On average, a home warranty costs about $1,100, ranging from $80 to $8,300, depending on your home size and its features, type of home warranty plan, and the coverage included. Your home’s location also factors into the cost of a home warranty, with areas with a higher cost of living experiencing increased warranty costs. Additional cost to consider include:

  • Deductibles: $75–$125 per call

  • Add-ons: $2–$35 per month

  • Premiums: $200–$1,200 per year

Several factors make a home warranty worth it or not, especially the age of your home and the condition and age of the appliances in it. If you buy an older home with most or all original appliances, a warranty may be worth the investment as these home features are more likely to need repairs or replacements. However, if you’re buying a new-construction home, a warranty may already be included, and you may not need to use it for several years. In this case, purchasing add-ons may not be worth the cost until a few years later.

Offering a home warranty when selling can make your property more appealing to potential buyers. The warranty gives them peace of mind that many systems or appliances will be covered if they need to be repaired or replaced in the near future. Additionally, the home warranty may cover problems that arise during the home sale, such as a leaky roof or water in the basement.

The main types of home warranties cover the basic essentials, but additional plan types focus on specific areas such as:

  • Appliance plan: This plan covers typical household appliances like refrigerators, stoves, washer and dryer, built-in microwaves, and dishwashers. It costs $360 and $540 per year

  • System plan: Costing between $360 and $540 per year, this plan covers central home systems like HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and water heaters.

  • Combination plan: This plan type covers both systems and appliances, costing between $545 and $1,500.
