Recharged A/C with freon and a florescent dye. It ran down within 4 days, but the dye made it possible to find the leak. They repaired it the same day. Friendly, professional staff.

They were very thorough. They got the job done correctly. I would tell a family member or a friend that they can trust them. I go to them each time I get my car done. They give me the same quality of service every time. They are very consistent.

I dropped our '06 Nissan Altima off with Frank (the service manager) in the morning and explained that I felt the motor mounts were worn out (the engine was torquing while driving) and there was an oil leak on my garage floor.  The owner, Mark, was covering for the van driver and gave me a ride back to my home so I could go to work.  Later that morning, Frank called with the news that confirmed that 3 of the 4 motor mounts were badly worn out and needed to be replaced but 1 was still serviceable.  Also, not only were both valve covers leaking oil down the back of the engine block, but the o-ring that seals the oil cooler to the engine was also leaking and needed to be replaced.  The ugly part came with the quote of $1,600 for the total job.  The motor mounts are expensive ($550 for all 3) and are labor intensive to replace.  Furthermore, the intake manifold plenum needed to be removed in order to be able to remove the rear valve cover, adding a plenum gasket and additional labor.  I picked up the car and it had been washed and tire dressing applied to the tires.  Based on the shop's reputation, I'm confident the work was done correctly and I will definitely use them again.  Frank and Mark run an organized operation.

Everything was perfect!!!!  With the repairs completed it is like driving a new car again.  I will use Auto Works for all my automotive needs as long as I?m in San Antonio. Both Mark, the owner, and Frank, the service manager, are very knowledgeable, honest and personable.  The technicians understand vehicles and repair needs!!!  I could have waited for two of the repairs but decided to have them all fixed at once.

I have two vehicles and have used Auto Works for tune-ups and State inspections prior to and after these repairs.  They are thorough, quick, and worked with my busy schedule.  They also provide transportation to and from their facility.

I had been using a local dealership for repairs and had complained about a floppy review mirror, my brakes being sluggish and not stopping very well, and sloppy handling problems as I drove.  The dealership said I could tighten up the rearview mirror myself, my brakes were fine, and the front end alignment was good and within recommended standards.

Now the repairs I had done on my 7year old, 112,000 mile car:

They didn?t charge me for fixing the loose mirror, there is NO! screw, like the dealership had told me.

I mentioned the squeaking belt along with the other problem.  Frank said the squeak was from a worn belt, belt tensioner, and idler pulley after the inspection.   He told me I could wait on those repairs because after the car warmed up the squeaking went away and that I still had some miles before it had to be repaired.  I decided to go with the repairs since I was already there.

The brake issue was a major problem.  The brake pads needed replaced but was not at the core of the sluggish braking problem.  The technician, who had test driven the car felt a brake flush would take care of the problem which it did.  They could have sold me a new master cylinder, but didn?t.  I?m not scared to drive the car anymore.

The front end repairs are part of normal maintenance for a car this age and miles.  I was told that the bushings were showing signs of wear and I was given the option to do the repairs at another time, probably within 3-6 month.  They could have sold me new struts as well, but didn?t.   I decided to have it done at this time also.

The place is clean. They are really good at communicating. I trust them. They're a little bit pricey but because of my history with them, I keep going back to them.

These guys are awesome! Professional, courteous, explained every detail. My brakes were in very bad shape and I was afraid it was going to cost a terrific amount. I had extensive work done on another vehicle several years ago (not by Auto Works!) and the price ran into $2200.00 Needless to say I was worried! Frank called me and explained everything that was wrong and what we needed to do to get it back into safe driving shape....estimate $900.00..WHEW! How awesome is that! Frank kept in touch with me every step of the way and when it got to the end of the day, he didn't want to rush and perhaps miss a step so they gave me a loaner car so my family and I could keep our normal schedule. Picked it up the next day and what a surprise! It was clean, the technicians had actually done more on my vehicle than they needed to as a courtesy and the estimate came in right on the money! Would I use Auto Works again? You bet I will! As far as I'm concerned my vehicles are going no where else. Thanks Auto Works, you are awesome! If there was a way to give you an A+++++ I would!

Took car in because the check engine light came on. Diagnosis revealed that an exhaust canister had failed and needed to be replaced. Work was done and car is back to normal. Employees were courteous and informative and I thought the price was fair for the work performed. The only minor complaint that I had was that it took some time to hear back from them. Besides that slight issue, every thing else went great and I would definitely use them again.

It went really well.  They saw us the first day of the appointments I had picked.  They called us with estimates and told us which of the parts they thought we did and didn't need to replace.  We had taken it to the dealer first for an estimate and everything they recommended was also on the dealers list but 50-several hundred dollars cheaper.  They understood that it was an older car and we didn't want to spend a lot of money on it. They told us things we could possibly skip like the radiator hoses were okay and probably good for a little while longer as well as that we could do a cleaning inside the valves and wait to see if that solved one of the issues before opting to spend more money on possibly unneeded repairs.  They finished it up that day, washed the car  and gave her a larger discount than the coupon said.   It was a great experience and I will definitely use them again.

I brought it to AutoWorks just to get an estimate since the dealership said that the repair would cost close to $900. I wanted a second opinion and found this place on Angies List. I took my car in and they were very courteous from the beginning. My car was taken to the back and a few minutes later the technician came and asked me if I would like to see exactly what they would be fixing. He nicely explained that two bolts were missing from the exhaust connection and that they would break the other two off and replace all 4. When they told me the cost it was a huge relief and I brought my car back in for the repair the next week. I dropped it off in the morning and was offered a shuttle ride (however already had made plans to be picked up). The repair only took about 3 hours and I was able to pick my car up at lunch time. They even washed the outside of my car for me! Overall a great place and I know where I am taking my car in the future!

Everything is fantastic!  They do quality work; never do more than is needed; and treat everyone with respect and honesty. There were dozens (hundreds?) of repairs on 5 vehicles over a 20-year period.  Their prices are always competitive and their work is always first-rate.

Mark gave me an estimate to replace the fuel injectors, but I declined.  I told him that my truck is kind of a hobby and I would replace them myself.  He offered advice on injector brands and being sure to lubricate the NEW O-rings.  He charged me a very reasonable amount for the diagnosis time.  I really appreciated the way I was treated.
