I realized that we don’t have a damper on the outside fireplace, so I called to ask if this was supposed to have been installed, because the heat can’t be felt since it goes straight up the chimney. The owner got really smart with me, telling me it was a stupid question. Do we want to smell the fumes? I told him I didn’t appreciate the tone, and he called me a “da*** *** mother f*****.” I confirmed he was the owner. How is that for service? I wonder if they’ll still honor my warranty?"
