Alamo Plumbing Solutions of San Antonio

They came out on time and were professional/polite.  My husband had left the hot water heater off when we were trying to determine why it was not working so they turned it on first thing.  I explained the issue we were having (initial hot water but running out of hot water extremely quickly.  In talking with the plumbers they thought there may have been hard water deposits in the line going to the bathrooms that should be flushed and they stated that the attic water heater was 11 years old and needed to be replaced.   They did not provide any written diagnosis but would get with the home warranty and report this.   According to the home warranty, Alamo reported to them that nothing was wrong with the hot water heater and we just needed to drain it and remove sediment (had already been done).  I asked Alamo Plumbing for a copy of what they reported to the home warranty company and they said their agreement with the warranty company does not allow them to provide a copy to us but they read what was reported (basically the diagnosis above).  I asked the warranty company about the diagnosis and they said that any questions should go to Alamo because their report was that it was working perfectly fine.  Since it needed to be replaced anyway regardless if the warranty covered it - I asked Alamo for a quote on replacing it.  I never got a response/call back with a quote.  Who is telling the truth ? the warranty co. or the plumbers?  Who knows but Alamo did not respond to the request for quote even though we have to pay them the $60 service fee to come out and take a look at it.

I would like to express my experience with this company in the hopes that this can become a coaching tool for their employees and/or owner. My disposal was leaking and I received a referral for Alamo Plumbing from my home warranty company. They came out to fix the disposal and we thought it was all taken care of, however it started leaking again the same night. I called Alamo and requested that they come back because it wasn't fixed and this is what happened: I first want to thank the young lady who answers the phone for her professionalism and her sincere willingness to help me with my plumbing issue. Unfortunately, I don't remember her name but I applaud her for the way she handles their every day business. Thank you. I asked to speak to the owner/manager/supervisor about my scheduling issue and Santiago called me back. He didn't divulge his title, but he came at me very defensively. He insulted me by saying that he was sorry that I didn't understand his trade or his scheduling business. He blamed the lady in the office for scheduling me on Thursday and that he didn't understand why she would tell me that they can see me on Friday when he is booked for Friday and Saturday and that he couldn't see me until Monday. He also called me a 3 percenter and that I was not priority because I was from a warranty company and that I wouldn't use them again in the near future. I have never been so wrongly treated by a service company. I told him that part of customer service was keeping their word or at least calling the customer and communicating that they were unable to keep the appointment. I also told him that if he was not going to represent First American Home Warranty respectfully, then he needs to cancel his contract with them. I have reported Alamo Plumbing Solutions to my warranty company for a violation on customer service and performance. I am in the mortgage business and will be telling all of my realtors not to use the company in the near future. I certainly don't want the citizens of San Antonio to go through what I just went through with this plumbing company. I am glad to see that they have plenty of work in San Antonio but they must remember that it is customers like me that keep them in business.

Santiago was a very responsive plumber and worked with my needs in order to get this job done within my budget. I had 3 plumbers come out and he was the most knowledgeable and the best priced. He let me do the trenching for the sewer and water line which saved me a lot of money. Overall a great staff and will be using again.

The price was phenomenal and they have always been quick to get out to me. They have always been courteous and do a good job.

Santiago's work is excellent! He's a very honest man, and I really love working with him.
