Alvarado's Masonry Construction & Remodeling

I hired Alvarado Masonry Construction to replace several cracked bricks over my garage. They did an outstanding job and even replaced 3 additional bricks at no extra charge. It was refreshing to see the workers show up on time and clean up when they were done. I will definitely contact them in the future when I have work to be done.

They never responded to quote request

Very well. Good communication throughout process. Excellent job performed. He offered to pick up the materials and stones that were needed so I would not have to pay shipping cost to the worksite ! I would recommend this mason.

I was so thoroughly impressed by Jose's responsiveness and his honesty and integrity. He was ahead of his schedule and completed the work in less time than I expected. He and his crewman's work was impeccable and actually made the wall look better than the original wall that was there. I had complete confidence in his workmanship and what a joy it was to work with him. This business is truly a trustworthy business to deal with. I will be contacting him in near future to deal with another project I have in mind. You will not be disappointed in contacting him for your masonry needs although he also does other type of work also.

Excellent! Bob was super responsive, on time, communicated everything clearly, stuck to the estimate and gave us a very fair price. The mason who did the work, Xavier, is an artist! He matched the mortar to the brick perfectly and you can't even tell there were any cracks. They were prompt, on time, very professional, cleaned up after they were done, and had the job done in no time flat!

Replaced chimney siding and trim

It went fine. He noted there were buttons to reset the fireplace and it was resolved in no time.

He was punctual for both consultation and project work. Crew was great, work was done quickly, and done well.

Awesome! Jose Alvarado did an outstanding job. He took a very plain & basic fireplace and built a beautiful heath bench and built it up with ledgestone all the way up to the ceiling. It is now a legit grand masterpiece of our living area. Our neighbors who have come to see it are equally impressed. He was able to lower the mantle and therefore lower the height of our TV, which was attached pretty high on the previous fireplace which was a bit uncomfortable to watch. But just the skill and craft he has with the job he did is worth mentioning. We are extremely pleased. He is very nice, professional and helped us understand the details of the project as it was being completed. He answered our questions from beginning to end. Just a hard-working guy whom I am glad we hired. I will be calling him again for future needs no doubt. And you should, too!

An excellent job! We had 4 or 5 areas that needed work. Other contractors suggested "putting a band aid" on the brick and "redoing" it every couple of years. Mr. Alvarado understood we wanted it done right, once and for all. He even made the bricks for replacement so they are a VERY close match. Very happy with the result. Would definitely recommend Alvarado Masonry.

Excellent work. His team removed the damage and put back my 250 pound stone that fell from the wall They are my heroes in every way. They put in additional stones with mortar and shored up the wall. Great work. Worth every penny!

It went excellent! On time, he and his crew are professional, stayed on task were informative. And since I did not climb up there (even though there was scaffolding) pictures of the completed work were provided. Before Jose Louis left I inquired as to the cost of another job. Definitely recommend

Jose Luis is a true professional tradesman. He came to the home to discuss the job and materials that would be used to perform the work. He provided a detailed, written estimate in 2 days. We agreed on the timing and he executed the job in the specified time period. He cleaned the job site and power washed the stone when it was complete. The end result exceeded our expectations. I would definitely recommend his services and would certainly use him on any masonry needs in the future.

The owner, Jose Luis Alvarado and crew arrived on time and despite rain, had a tent and were able to deconstruct the old masonry mailbox, use many of the same bricks to construct a new, smaller mailbox in a matter of hours. We're pleased with the work, though it was a bit pricey for the simple, no frills mailbox design.

Mr Alvarado and his crew were the best team I could have ever hoped for. They were on time, worked non stop, and kept the job site very clean before leaving each day. From just a picture I gave Mr Alvarado he offered his own ideas for me to consider on how I might improve my new courtyard look. He had great, artistic and structurally sound advice. Boy am I glad I had him to help me make a dream come true. It turned out beautiful. Compliments from neighbors and friends immediately came in. He is a true artist! I highly recommend Alvarado Masonry Construction.

He was efficient!

I lost my job just before getting started so I didn't go through with the project. He was prompt to the appointment and delivered a quote within the time he promised. Sadly I've found it unusual to find a small contractor that is prompt on anything. It's nice to know they aren't totally extinct.

Luis and his crew rebuilt the lamp post in front of our house which had been damaged by a passing driver. They had to completely demolish the existing structure and rebuild it using the old stones but with all new mortar, and now the lamp post looks brand new. This was the second time I have used Luis for stonework (he repaired my flagstone steps in the back yard), and both times I have been pleased with the quality of work. I would definitely hire them again!

He came promptly to give a quote, started the project when projected, worked long hours and finished the project quickly. Excellent quality work, no surprises, and cleaned up nicely after finishing the job. Highly recommended.

Review: Mr. Alvarado and his team are true professionals. The communication and responsiveness was the best I've experienced with any contractor I have hired. Mr. Alvarado is truly skilled at his craft and created a tremendous end-product. Would hire again for any masonry work.

We could not be more pleased and recommend Alvarado's Masonry Construction and Remodeling. We had "corner pops" on all four corners of our foundation and 6 cracked bricks in one location another cracked brick in another - Jose Louis Alvardo noticed the latter. All of the repair work was very well done with rebar installed where needed. The repairs look great and we hope they will last this time. (It was clear that there were earlier repairs at some of the corners.) Alvarado's also built approximately 20 feet for dry stacked limestone flowerbed wall. It looks great and we can't wait to get the bed planted. Alvarado's is punctual and responsive to phone calls. They take extra-care to protect your lawn. For example, with the rain we had this week (last week of Sept, 2017), they brought plywood and runner boards to protect the yard while the built the wall. They were careful with our new downspout that had to be removed for one of the corner pop repairs. I think there pricing is very fair (we did not get other quotes). They completed all the work in a timely manner despite the rain. I enjoyed have Reynaldo and Gustavo to visit with while they worked at our house - they are tireless workers. :-)
