Customers say: Quick response

"It took a second visit to get to the bottom of the problem. Initially, the problem seemed to have been solved. However, soon afterwards, the water began to rise at the top of the toilet and eventually overflowed. Upon the second visit, Ryan removed the toilet and discovered a large plastic object lodged in toilet base opening. At each visit, Ryan explained the options prior to doing any of the work. Low estimate fee and quick response."

"Caesar and Vincent came out, on time, and quickly and efficiently installed the faucets and plumbing. These men were knowledgeable, courteous and went out of their way to make sure everything was taken care of. A few days later I needed additional work done and didn't hesitate to contact them again. Adrian quickly returned my call and had the guys out the very next morning. I can't praise them enough. They may not be the cheapest but you get everything and more than you paid for."

"The master plumber (Mario H.) did an outstanding job in replacing our 30-year old toilets. We were originally interested only in replacing some of the old parts and keeping our old toilets. But with Mario's thorough explanation of what was wrong with out toilets and the advantages of new ones, we decided to replace all 3 of them. He then quickly and skillfully installed the new ones and cleaned up so well when he finished that I think our bathrooms were actually cleaner when he left than when he arrived. We are extremely pleased with our new toilets and the work provided. My husband and I both though Mario was the best service provider we have ever had working in our house. We will definitely use Legend Plumbing & Septic for any future services covered by their company."

"First, Marco is a fine young man. I  was impressed with the number of skills he could perfom. He took his time and ensured everything went as planned. I was concerned about the spaces at each end of the tub, against the walkin shower and the far wall. Marco built smalll walls and then match the tile. There are no spaces and it looks very pleasing.
Bill, the Boss came by frequently to check on the progress. Bill answered all questions and was very responive in getting back to me. He even called on the weekend just to see how we were feeling about the work. A nice bunch of people.
I highly recommend this company if your looking for walkin tub work."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can have a toilet without a septic tank. However, it will have to be a composting toilet. Composting toilets work similarly to aerobic septic systems in that the waste, which sits in a separate compartment below the toilet itself, is slowly broken down by aerobic bacteria. These toilets typically have a vent to get rid of harmful gasses with a fan, which requires a battery. You will have to dispose of waste in the toilet manually every three weeks to every three months, depending on how many people are using the toilet.

Yes, pressure-assist toilets leak, but less often than regular toilets. You might experience leaks from your toilet due to worn-out parts, water pressure in your plumbing that’s too high or low, poor installation, or cracks in your tank. These toilets are harder to fix on your own than gravity-fed ones, so it’s best to call a plumber if you can’t figure out what’s wrong,

Toilets typically connect to your main vent stack, a vertical pipe that runs through all finished levels of your home and exits through the roof. It’s located behind the walls, but if you have an unfinished basement or a utility closet, you may find a portion of it running the vertical length of the space. Some basement toilets use an air admittance valve instead, which is a small vent located in the wall directly behind the toilet that extends upward a few feet from the drain.

The most common reasons a toilet won’t stop running are a faulty flapper or fill valve, improper fill height, or incorrect chain length. Luckily, all these issues are relatively easy to fix with parts you can find at a local hardware store. You can also call a plumber or toilet repair professional to solve the problem.

You can tell if your toilet fill valve is full by removing the lid and taking a look. When you flush the toilet, the float is at the bottom of the tank, the water empties, and the fill valve opens. The float rises to the top as the tank fills again with water. When the float rises to the right level, the fill valve closes; if the valve is too high, your toilet may only partially flush, requiring you to adjust the float.
