"Needed bottom rails and posts repaired/painted on a small section of wrought iron fence. Timely response and regular communication leading up to completion. Showed up on time and completed the work very quickly. Excellent pricing in comparison to other estimates received. Highly recommend."

"We love our wrought iron fence. It makes an older home look really nice and we don't have to worry about our dog (or other dogs) jumping the fence. Also, the package receiving area they created in front is so handy for receiving Amazon deliveries. The chain link fence they did in back and the wood fencing they did on one side of our property have both made our home more secure and more attractive. I would definitely hire them again."

"I thoroughly vetted this company. I had been needing to get this project done for quite a while. Their schedule and mine coordinated and so did the price. I'm a 1st responder and was given a discount. Darin found that out and gave it to me; I didn't ask for it. The job was done well & on time & for the price quoted. My neighbors liked the work enough they hired him to do theirs too. In fact, the HOA liked the work enough that they hired his company to do jobs on HOA owned property with wrought iron fences. Couldn't have been happier with all work done. I would use him again, but may not need to. The job came with a 20-year material and workmanship warranty."

Wrought Iron questions, answered by experts

The most common type of metal fence today is one made of either steel or aluminum. These materials are relatively easy to fabricate, making them much more cost-effective than traditional metal fencing handmade from wrought iron. They’re also much lighter and easier to install, contributing to their affordability and making them more DIY-friendly.

No, fence posts aren’t always set in concrete. If you don’t want to use concrete footings for your posts, expanding foam is a popular alternative. Expanding foam and concrete each have certain pros and cons. For instance, foam is easier to install and more sustainable, but concrete is sturdier and less expensive.

The ideal distance between fence posts depends on several factors, including the terrain, the purpose of the fence, and the material used. For different types of fences, here are some general guidelines:

  • Wood and Metal Fences: Posts should be spaced between 5 and 8 feet apart.

  • Vinyl Fences: Spacing can be between 6 and 8 feet.

  • Chain-Link, Mesh, or Lattice Fences: Posts can be set anywhere from 4 to 25 feet apart, with 4-10 feet being common for chain-link.

  • Wire Fences: Spacing can be up to 12 feet apart.

You don't need gravel under metal fence posts, but it's always a good idea to add it in. Adding about six inches of gravel before you pour concrete will provide better water drainage, which can help to prolong the lifespan of your new fence and maximize its stability.

Clean regularly, inspect for rust, and repaint or seal to prevent corrosion.
