"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

"The sales person called and confirmed the appointment and arrived as scheduled.  Was very knowledgeable about the job to be done and was pleasant to work with.  After getting several estimates, we decided to use Magnum. Angie's list provided the majority of roofers  for estimates.   The crew arrived on time and the wind storm inspector arrived also. The sales person came and introduced me to the crew and inspector.  The job took two days. I thought it would take one but they were meticulous with their work and did an excellent job from start to finish. The supervisor was on the job 90% of the time and came to me several times to have me check on the work on the vent pipes and Fascia.  The crew worked well together and knew their jobs.  Diagonals  were straight as well as verticals.  They used a membrane in the valleys. 6 nails per shingle. They installed ridge vents.  I would recommend a day out when having this done unless you are like me and want to see every part of the job done.  Just remember that it is very noisy when they are cleaning, sawing and putting on new shingles.
I would use Magnum again with no reservations. "

"This was the second time I called Prime Roofing to repair wind damage.  Jonathan returned my call within a couple of hours, and scheduled repairs within my time frame (next day, I think).  He arrived as scheduled, had everything needed with him, and completed repairs at the stated price.  A flat price ($250 at the time) covers repairs up to a maximum number of shingles.  That way, you know the cost in advance and he doesn't have to make one trip to estimate and another to perform repairs.
It's the business owner who comes out for repairs, he does these jobs after getting his crew started on a bigger job.  He is very knowledgeable about roofing, and estimated how many years my roof will last, options for replacement at that time, other recommended work (attic ventilation).  He was not pushy; he's performing a service at a fair price, and at the same time establishing a relationship so you'll call him when the roof eventually needs complete replacement.

"Did a very good job. They were the least expensive quote and the work was completed for the amount quoted. Other roofing companies had suggested there was storm damage from hail and wind, but Braun's did not. One of the other companies showed us pictures of the purported damage on the previously replaced section, but when the insurance adjuster examined the roof they did not find any damage. As a result we decided to go with Braun's and were very satisfied with the work performed."

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

Neglected maintenance can lead to odors, fire hazards, impaired airflow, and reduced range and hood operation efficiency.

Yes, they can assess the size, kitchen layout, and ventilation requirements to make recommendations.

A higher CFM will make the price of your range hood more expensive. It can be challenging to speculate how much the CFM rating affects price, but ductless range hoods—that don’t need as high of a CFM as ducted range hoods—are less expensive than their alternative. On average, ductless hoods cost between $100 and $300, while ducted hoods can cost as much as $1,000.

Most residential range hoods have a CFM between 200 and 600. A higher CFM means your range hood is better at removing smoke and odors from your kitchen. The measurement ultimately depends on your stove’s width and heat output as well as the size of your kitchen.

Compared to the average size of a stove and kitchen, 350 CFM would be the minimum recommended rating for the average kitchen. However, selecting a higher CFM range hood would guarantee better ventilation to match your cooking habits, whether they’re minimal or extensive.

You should contact a local range hood installation professional to install your range hood and do the ductwork. Prices range from $50 to $100 per hour, with the total number of hours required varying based on the project complexity. Simple installations might take an hour or two, while more complicated ones can take four hours or more.
