"I am extremely satisfied with the LVP install from MP Carpet and Floors. They were the best bid. I supplied the materials. The team was prompt, professional, and thorough, and efficient. Eduardo was very communicative throughout the process. He was responsive to my needs and concerns. He did not disappear when issues arose and he was always on top of things to make sure everything was taken care of. I was so impressed with the LVP install that I followed up with carpeting and I’m looking to use MP for some kitchen work."

"Excellent results. Jerry was on time and very efficient. Carpets look new after the cleaning. Not only did he do an excellent job of cleaning the carpets, but the advice he gave for maintenance was of great value."

"The worker was about 30 minutes late. He promptly went to work pretreating the carpet with some sort of liquid cleaner. Then he went over the carpet with the suction equipment that left the rooms extremely wet. The spots did not come out of the carpet."

Small jobs welcome

"From the first visit at my office in March, to the completion of the project in May, John has been the paramount professional but with a twist. His service is that of a personal friend. My project at my 1600 sq' office included carpet and paint... and a lot of equipment. He coordinated the project with the painting company. He went beyond the scope of his service, condensed his days to work to provide an extra day for the painter, who had changed the scope from 1 1/2 days to 2 days, cutting into the carpet installation by a 1/2 day. I'm a physical therapist. Being closed a week for this job is tough. I had a day on either end to pack and unpack. John's crew worked a very long day to get the carpet installed. Above that, when I returned to the office on Memorial Day, to prepare it for work on Tuesday, I had a lot of work to be done by me and my staff to be open the next day. My phone was not plugged in behind an enormous desk with a hutch. John and his wife came to my rescue. John moved my desk such that I could plug in my phone, correctly feed a cord from my computer through the hole in the back of the desk, and moved the furniture back. On a holiday evening he did this. Now, I must mention that choosing the carpet was a breeze. The installation looks amazing and I cannot see a single seam. The seam design program is worth any extra cost. I'm extremely pleased with my clinic and his customer service."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

The complexity of installation depends on the type of flooring you choose and the level of expertise required to install it. While some materials, like vinyl or laminate, offer relatively straightforward installation processes suitable for DIY enthusiasts, others, such as natural stone or hardwood, often require professional assistance from a flooring company to ensure proper fitting and longevity.

Yes, carpet tiles are easy to install—even if you don’t have much DIY experience. In fact, the simple installation process is one of the main reasons that people choose carpet tiles over traditional carpet. Since carpet tiles come in individual squares, they aren’t as heavy or awkward to install as regular carpet. Plus, you don’t need specialized equipment (like knee kickers or carpet stretchers) when installing carpet tiles.

The type of flooring you choose for your bedroom comes down to personal preference. Many people prefer carpet over hard-surface flooring types (such as hardwood, tile, or stone) in their bedrooms because it’s warmer and cozier. Carpeting also helps muffle sound, which may benefit those who have trouble sleeping.

On the other hand, some folks prefer the look of hardwood over carpet. People with allergies might also opt for non-carpeted flooring since carpet fibers can attract dust, dander, and other allergens.

You can expect your carpet protection to last about six months to two years. It will last longer in low-traffic areas (compared to busy areas, where your carpet experiences more wear and tear). Once the protector wears off, you’ll need to call your carpet contractor to reapply the stain protection treatment and revive your carpet

The difference between a 40-oz. and 60-oz. carpet is the carpet face weight, meaning the 60-oz. carpet weighs 20 ounces more per square yard. When looking at two similar carpets of the same material and type, the 60-oz. carpet face weight likely indicates higher quality and more durability due to heavier carpet fibers.
