"As one can imagine after learning that my home may have had termite damage or infestation, and spending time on Google and checking out different companies, a lot of worry and concern was on my mind, and within a very short amount of time after reaching out, Mike contacted me, And started to get a overall assessment of what issues I was experiencing and discussing some general things with me. What was most of sharing was the information provided as well as the careful and easy to understand the explanation about how the process works what to expect and the general cost estimates that obviously can vary but can be ballpark quoted fairly well, I didn’t feel rushed and making any decisions and in fact our initial conversation was very extensive in terms of getting information about what would likely be the best options but in terms of treatment and assessment, and sending the technician I was given plenty of opportunity to make sure that my schedule worked and what to expect. Upon the technician arrival my home and full exterior and other areas were very thoroughly examined, and my questions and concerns were addressed. I’m a musician, and not knowledgeable about pest control, and I was very pleased with the education of the types of services they provide, and the best options for my situation. The technician accurately contacted me and communicated what to expect upon his arrival, and at many times wanted to ensure that there would be no unnecessary treatments resulting in a cost that could be avoided, and once activity was identified, an accurate quote and detailed explanation of the plan was explained and decided as the best course of action, the technician even assisted me with a small wasp nest in the area needed to be treated which I had difficulty taking care of due to a serious phobia of flying insects. Advvice on how to prevent and manage my pest control needs Without any pressure or excessive recommendations, and a follow up plan for my property was courteously arranged. The cost was reasonable and a very clear focus on building a strong relationship of quality work and long-term pest control management was very clear in this company‘s philosophy-I highly recommend this company and the philosophy that they have put my mind at ease. The paperwork and warranty as well as inspection documents for my home records were explained in detail and copies provided to me upon completion of the work."

"Very responsive! Ken immediately spent time examining my lawn and pointing out his recommendations for insect control, fertilization and irrigation. Very professional and helpful initial meeting, and timely follow-up. A little more expensive than what I expected, but if this is effective it's worth it. I guess time will tell if I see improvement, but I certainly welcome Ken's attention and professionalism! I certainly appreciate Village Green's attention, follow-up and customer communication."

"It took 6 weeks, a very long time. The gentleman who gave me the first estimate failed to check that they have access to the whole attic. He also recommended Galvanized mesh for the soffits and failed to tell me that bugs could get to the attic thru that mesh. We had to add to the estimate and add the bug mesh during the job. It turned out they could not get to the part of the attic where the major problem was. They still ignored that part in spite of me calling or texting them daily for more than a week that there still is a raccoon up there. They kept saying he will come out. They only acted on that part of the attic when the raccoon died and the smell permeated the house."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

Some species of bees (not to mention hornets) are aggressive and dangerous to have in your walls. If they swarm in anger or defense, they could badly hurt people in your home. Other species of bees are largely harmless and many people live in close proximity to them.

Either way, bees making hives in your walls usually causes damage. It can contribute to moisture problems, and attract other pests. Those problems get even worse if honeycombs build up. So we strongly suggest you find a way to keep bees from taking up permanent residence.

You should never block both the top and bottom of your chimney. Proper airflow is essential because the temperature inside the chimney will still fluctuate as your house warms and cools. Moisture can build up without ventilation, leading to dampness in your walls over time. Blocking the top prevents debris and animals from entering, but the chimney still needs air circulation to avoid condensation issues. Allowing the chimney to breathe maintains the health of your home and prevents long-term damage.

Ticks aren't dangerous, but their bites are often imperceptible thanks to a numbing agent in their saliva. They can carry and transmit pathogens to people and animals, leading to diseases such as anaplasmosis, babesiosis, and Lyme disease. So if you live in a region with a high tick prevalence, tick treatment is worthwhile to keep your family and pets safe.

While foxes may find them unpleasant, mothballs are not an effective deterrent. Additionally, mothballs are toxic for humans and animals and should never be used outside. They contain naphthalene or paradichlorobenzene, which are very harmful to the environment. Use safer, more reliable deterrents, or hire a professional wildlife control expert.

Professionals employ protective measures such as covering or temporarily relocating plants, minimizing chemical usage, and carefully planning construction routes to avoid damage. These precautions preserve the integrity and appearance of the landscaping during projects.
