Then why did we waste time and money refilling freon and supposedly putting dye in the line if he knew it was the evap coil. No discussion of options, no talk of the condenser. I finally cancelled the appointment and went with another provider. I checked with them and despite what I read online the price quoted was fair, but I did not trust Stacey to do the repair after our interactions. I doubt many repair technicians would work for free! Very thoughtful My 78 yr. old mother was most impressed with Mr. Rosenbaum. Based on this experience we would definitely utilize Justin Repairs again. (One note: I did assign a \"B\" for professionalism. This was because I was informed that the repair technician asked whether he could say a \"prayer\" with/for my mother. While this request was no doubt well-intentioned, I tend to prefer to keep business and religion separate. Ours is an LGBT family--of faith and prayer. But, unless I'm certain a business specifically includes \"sexual orientation\" in its employee non-discrimination policy and is staunchly in support of LGBT equality (including marriage equality), then again, my preference is to keep things strictly professional.) This company went above and beyond to repair my water heater. They were honest about the problem and offered a fair price for the service. The technician was knowledgeable and made sure everything was working perfectly before leaving.
I don't know how the repair would be but the professionalism is poor. Called and left a detailed message but no call back.

Extortion! I scheduled an appointment to have Staggs replace the plastic flapper in my toilet to prevent it from continually running. Randy's son (forgot his name) and a trainee plumber arrived to do the job. They replaced the flapper in 15 minutes. Afterwards, charged me originally $355.00....

"Two stars because they replaced a sprinkler valve and it now works. Minus three stars for charging me $680 for one hour of labor and maybe $50 in material. $125 service call, $25 valve marked up to $340, another $200 for one hour labor (they were there one hour total). Shame on me for being in between meetings and letting them screw me over. I won’t make that mistake again."

"In August 2022, after hearing about DFW Improved on a home improvement radio show, we entered into two contracts with them for a roof replacement and interior water damage repair. These contracts were based on insurance-approved scopes following the 2021 ice storm. DFW Improved began the roof replacement project first. Following the replacement, the roof continued to leak due to their failure to replace the flashings. Despite corresponding work items in the insurance scope (confirmed later by the insurance adjuster's email), the DFW Improved salesperson insisted that flashing was not part of the roof. He threatened legal action if further payment was not made. Prior to this, they presented two identical model shingles as choices, which their own roof subcontractor on-site disclosed. Upon our inquiry via email, instead of addressing the issue, the salesperson accused us of defaming their company. Furthermore, they quoted $900 for a non-existent siding hole and estimated $25,000 for a bookcase, which their own designer valued at $6,000 to $7,000. While the roof leaking issue was still unresolved, DFW Improved began interior work. Instead of submitting the agreed supplement request as agreed, they skipped necessary steps to cut water-damaged drywall. To prevent wasted effort, we instructed workers to stop. The salesperson responded, stating that workers would not proceed with any work not approved by insurance. However, he emailed the insurance company claiming that the work had already been completed, causing significant confusion for us. During the halt period, we sent out numerous issues such as broken air pipes, cracked roof rafters, missing insulation, roof holes, missing felt paper, and a leaking roof. However, we received no response other than prevaricate explanations and demanding for money. We escalated to the DFW Improved upper manager who responded that they are their best team members and disregarded our request for an alternative project team. DFW Improved abandoned the projects and warranties, and initiated separation in December 2022. Both parties engaged in negotiations over separation costs. During this process, DFW Improved unexpectedly sent four individuals to our house, claiming to inspect texture work and demanding payment. Subsequently, DFW Improved placed a lien on our house, and their lawyer sent a demanding letter stating they would auction our house and (quote)“sue Vigorously” if payment was not made, despite the mediation/arbitration clause clearly outlined in the contracts. Under this pressure, we filed a claim in Tarrant County Small Claims Court, where the lien was placed. Later, their lawyer filed a motion to transfer the case to Collin County, where DFW Improved is based. We refused to comply with a demand for $5,000 and the confidentiality requirement during mediation. DFW Improved filed a new case simultaneously in the higher Tarrant County District Court, demanding a new amount of $59,845 and seeking to enforce the lien, providing no explanation for this amount. According to their co-owner's email, their accounting book calculated that we owed them a total of $1,260 (detailed below). During pre-mediation discussions, their lawyer attempted to justify their request for $8k, citing that a significant portion was allocated to attorneys' fees. We did not engage their lawyer to send us a threatening letter containing false statements about suing us without mediation. Their lawyer also declined $65 public mediator service provided by the Tarrant Small Claims Court. Additionally, they unilaterally escalated the dispute to a higher court. We have never been late with their payments. In fact, DFW Improved made a math error by crediting the blind work twice. When we brought this to their attention, DFW Improved spent extra time correcting the invoice, and their salesperson initiated an internal investigation. Any delay was certainly not caused by us. DFW Improved filed a lien attempting to collect the costs again, despite already receiving payment. FAQs for boiler repair projects in Parker, TX
The average cost to install a new water heater is around $1,300, but you can expect to pay between $875 and $1,750, depending on the kind of water heater, the size of the unit, and the professional chosen to complete the work. Tankless water heaters can push your price higher, as installation is more complicated, with prices as high as $3,500. The location and accessibility of your water heater will play a role in the project cost, as those sitting in tight spaces like a crawl space will drive up your labor costs.

It is very difficult and dangerous to install your own water heater, so we strongly recommend against tackling this as a DIY project. Not only will you need to wire your water heater, but you’ll also need to connect plumbing to the intake and outlet. Sweating copper pipes and connecting wiring properly are skills most DIYers don’t have, and even if you do feel confident you can do it, working with water and electricity always leaves the potential for electrocution. Hiring a local water heater installer is well worth the investment.
The average cost to hire a plumber is around $100 an hour but can vary between $45 and $200 an hour depending on the plumber’s experience and the repair that you need.
