"I would like everyone needing A/C repair to use AR Condition and Repair. Cory worked me in for repairs on my A/C Central air quickly. Cory helped me understand everything. Josh was sent to my home to get my A/C working in 106 degree heat index. I need a whole unit which but fixed it till I could get some air in this overwhelming heat. Josh was so helpful and too explained everything so I could understand. I will be getting a new unit from them in the next few days. Prices are very reasonable. Thank you Cory and Josh for helping me not be so miserable till I get my unit. Once again I highly recommend this company!"

"Metro Air did an excellent job! I highly recommend this company, especially Ron, my technician. At first I thought i just needed Freon , then thought it was a bad capacitor, come to find out I needed a whole new outside unit. The price was on the higher end of the spectrum when I googled comparable pricing, however the customer service I received was excellent. All care was kept in keeping my home, inside and outside, clean and tidy. Ron was prompt and pleasant to work with. They work on Sundays, and came out immediately when I called with my air troubles. Great company! Thank you Metro Air!"

"David and team came in and installed a new HVAC system. He went over and beyond to finish in a timely manner and did not shortcut any of the necessary steps to finish our install. The final product is a new HVAC system that will blow the hair back!!!!!!"

"TeamEnoch work quality and cost were the best. Installation Evan and Richard took care everything much better than I expected. I have had American Home Shield who assigned several different contactors to fix my HVACs. Their (AHS contractors) work quality was poor (I would rate them as 2-star the most). I highly recommend TeamEnoch for HVAC work. In fact I will hire them again to install the 2nd HVAC for my house in the near future."

"This is a review for multiple visits that I have had recently. I highly recommend Minuteman Heating and Air. Donovan, Monty, and Lance have been to my home multiple times recently for issues that I have been having. They are courteous and professional. They showed great care with my home and explained everything along the way. Donovan has done routine maintenance and tuneups for me. He addressed some issues. He was sure to show me what the issue was, what needed to be done, and what the alternative was. I was not pressured into anything and I appreciate being shown the problem area. Monty helped walk me through choosing a new HVAC system. Once again no pressure and shown all of my choices. Lance and his crew came to remove the old system, install the new system, and thoroughly clean out the air ducts. All of the guys that came to my home were courteous and professional and their office staff is very friendly and quickly addresses any questions. I will continue to use MMHA for all of my HVAC needs and I highly recommend them to others."

"Jacob knows attic work and his team did a good job cleaning the air vents of my 2-HVAC unit home for $199. Jacob also quoted an additional $5k of work related to ducts, insulation and attic temperature. Jacob is a good salesman, but a few of those things were exaggerated, plus explanation of the building dust from 1999 trapped in the HVAC is not correct."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

The higher the BTU rating an air conditioner has, the more effective it can be at cooling your space. It will cool off your room faster in the short term. However, over the long term, if the unit has too many BTUs for the space, it can wear down the unit faster and shorten its life span.

To keep a window air conditioner in good working order, you should clean the filter regularly, inspect the seals, and store the unit properly during the off-season.

A one-stage air conditioner only has one setting, while a two-stage air conditioner has a high and low setting. A two-stage air conditioner costs between $500 and $2,500 more than a traditional air conditioner, but it has a longer lifespan and helps to increase energy efficiency. To make this decision, you should consider your energy needs and available budget.

Choosing between a ductless mini-split and central AC depends on your specific needs. Ductless mini-splits are ideal for targeted cooling, providing zoned comfort and energy efficiency. They are perfect for smaller spaces or homes lacking ductwork. In contrast, central AC offers consistent cooling throughout the entire house but requires ductwork and may be less energy-efficient for smaller spaces.

Consider factors like budget, home size, and cooling preferences to make the right choice. Combining both systems, with a ductless mini-split in specific areas, can also be a viable solution for tailored comfort and overall efficiency.

Yes, running your air conditioning unit too cold can cause condensation in the air ducts and built up moisture on the air filter, resulting in a breeding ground for mold and mildew. Mold and mildew growth can irritate those with respiratory issues, so it’s best to keep your AC running at a normal temperature.
