"I called Paul’s Drywall after researching local drywall firms to include the BBB. Paul responded to our request for quote promptly and took the time to listen to our concerns and then walked us through how he would make the needed repairs. Paul’ team arrived on the date and time scheduled. The team members were extremely competent and professional. They were careful to cover and protect our furniture to prevent damage. Paul was in and out several times a day to check on the status of the project, and spend many hours personally working on some of the more difficult areas. He was very attentive to our concerns and ensured that we were satisfied with repairs. I have used several remodeling firms in the past, but Paul’s Drywall’s competence and professionalism far exceeds them all. I would definitely use Paul’s Drywall in the future, and would have no concern recommending his service to family and friends."

"Absolutely phenomenal work. In and out faster than I would have thought. I got my drywall replaced in one room and patched in the living room. I couldn’t even tell there was ever a hole in the wall. They did not disappoint."

"VERY well!!!!! This was an extremely difficult painting job and required days and days of prep, multiple coats of paint, and then days of touch up. This company is AMAZING!!! Christian and Diego are the best! They worked long hard days and finished on time and on budget. Their attention to detail was just perfect! I would hire them again in an instant. Cannot recommend highly enough!!!!!!!"

"Called Antonio Drywall Repair & Texture to repair a wet spot in the ceiling from a roof leak. The house is 7 years old and I liked that they was able to match the paint color. The price was good. They were prompt and did everything they said they would do."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

You’ll want to inspect your plaster walls for signs of damage before painting. If you notice soft spots, deep cracks, bubbling, or areas where the plaster is crumbling or pulling away from the wall, it likely needs repair. While small hairline cracks are common and likely cosmetic, you should address larger issues before painting to ensure a quality, smooth finish.

Whether to repair or replace water-damaged plaster depends on the scale of the damage. For small, limited areas, you can often perform a repair yourself. If you choose to paint over small patches, ensure the surface is completely dry and apply a coat of antifungal primer first to prevent mold growth. However, simply painting or plastering over the damage is only a temporary solution that doesn't address the core problem. For more extensive or long-term damage, the plaster may be compromised, and there is a risk of mold. In these cases, it is recommended to remove the damaged section of plasterboard and replace it. You may consider hiring a professional for the repair, and it's worth noting that water damage is often covered by home insurance.

Cracks, holes, water damage, and dents from heavy equipment often require repair.

Drywall is safe to cut as long as you follow proper procedures, such as wearing personal protective equipment and using the right tools to score and cut the drywall. When cutting new drywall, it can release dust with silica and other compounds that could pose health risks. Leave cutting drywall to the pros, or wear a high-quality respiratory mask, goggles, and other PPE when handling drywall.

Yes, a fan can help drywall mud dry faster by improving air circulation and reducing humidity in the room. Drywall mud dries through evaporation, so increasing airflow speeds up this process. However, you should position the fan to blow across the room rather than directly on the wet mud. This helps prevent drying too quickly, which can cause cracking. You should also use a dehumidifier if high humidity is an issue.
