"I chose Risen Foundation Solutions because their in-house fabrication team customizes foundation repair and stabilization. I met with Sammy Ayyad, the project manager, and was impressed with his professionalism and broad knowledge of foundation repairs. He was polite, attentive to detail, and efficient in taking the measurements and preparing the proposal. He cut through the sales pitch and guided us in the right direction in making a logical decision. A wonderful gentleman who represents a professional company. I recommend this company to anyone."

"They were prompt - they showed up when they said they would. They were professional in their work. They knew what they were doing - they stayed with the job until it was done - they didn't go to another job while working on mine. They even took their shoes off when they came into the house to keep from messing up the floor. Best of all they did a great job on my house. It looks great, and they were careful not to do any damage to the structure when they leveled it. And also they cleaned up all the trash when they left. That was a feat in itself considering all the digging they had to do. I am very please with their work."

Customers say: Super punctual

"When I decided to go forward with foundation repair on my house I interviewed five companies and received quotes from all five. I decided to hire Vantage Foundation Repair because the plan Derk Mazurczak presented for placement of support made the most sense and, though the quote wasn't the lowest, I thought it was the best value because Vantage uses steel pilings and offers a transferable 25 year warranty. In addition to the foundation repair, I contracted Vantage to excavate (and refill) a tunnel under the house to gain access for plumbing repair. The quote for the excavation was fair compared to other quotes received. All work was done on schedule. Derk was professional, personable and communications were always prompt within reason. He always took time to answer questions and address concerns. The work crew, led my Calvin, were all polite, hardworking, considerate and removed all personal trash daily. When the projects were finished, the work areas were cleaned beyond my expectations. I'm very pleased with the outcome of both projects. A huge crack that was in an exterior brick wall came back together so well it is hardly noticeable and all of the doors now close as designed. The tunnel allowed sufficient space for the plumber to replace the old cast iron pipes with PVC. Without reservation, I recommend Vantage Foundation Repair to anyone that has need of their services. "Roy was very helpful and reached out to me to start repairs on my foundation. Their procedure for lifting and leveling my home was knowledgable and prompt. I felt their pricing was extremely competitive for the area and he was so helpful when it came to paying the bill. They require half down to start, the remainder when the job is finished. The job finished by having a professional engineer come out and do an entire new diagram of my home. Overall, awesome experience!"

Small jobs welcome

"Quite possibly the best experience Iâ ve had with any home improvement contractor. Brad came out and did measurements, was likable and did not try to give me a hard sale. Once we agreed on price, he got to work and had a crew here in record time. The crew was clean and polite, even visiting with my special-needs son. I cannot recommend this company enough."

"Converted our loft to another bedroom. Communication was great and helped with the design of a corner closet. We were concerned about it blending in with the rest of the house but it was done perfectly and looks like it was there the whole time."

"We had an issue with the foundation of our home moving. Due to the freeze of 2021 and the rains that followed the soil between the homeâ s foundation beams and the bed rock began to shift. We noticed cracks in our ceiling and the garage floor. We contacted various contractors but quickly settled with Hercules Foundation. Allen Alexander of Hercules Foundation came to our house, measured the distances from level, assessed the damage and proposed the work needed to be performed and the timing. Hercules Foundation would be responsible for all permits required and obtain markings of the utility lines and finally the inspection and approval of the City Engineers. The price quoted was competitive. The work comes with a Life Time Warranty and is transferrable in the event we would sell our home. The work compromised included installing 18 piers, around the areas of the house that required leveling, the digging of the holes, removal of river rock and flagstone in parts of the back yard. The time quoted for completion was three (3) days. Considering the amount of work required I found this to be somewhat optimistic. The team that completed the work was managed by Michael Sanchez. I have rarely experienced a team that was so professional, safety consciousness, patient with our constant questioning, punctual, trust in each other and the work they were doing, and the way they performed the work as a team. It is a team that is loyal to each our and Hercules Foundation. Michael Sanchezâ s son is being deployed to The Ukraine. God bless him and all US Service men and women. When reviewing the work performed another amazing observation was that it looked clean and as if nothing was done."

"When you need foundation work done check for these things: - prior foundation work done on your house - ask the representative who comes in and takes the level readings how far off level is your foundation. When the representative came and took the readings on our house, he did not say how off level it was. All he said was the house was leaning bad on the right side. When the foundation team came to install the piers, I found out that the house was off level by 1/2 inch (ca. 5 cm)! I paid almost $13,000 to have the right side of the house lifted 1/4 inch (ca. 10 cm). And then come to find out when the foundation crew started digging, previous foundation work had already been done! - read, reread and reread the contract before you sign it! Ask any question no matter how stupid you may think it is! - make sure you have a 4-inch sewer clean out so a plumber hired by the foundation company can come in and do a PRE and post hydrostatic test. Any water leaks in your plumbing will void the contract! All plumbing issues are the homeowners financial responsibility to repair!"

"Joe Valdez of Windmill Heritage Contracting personalized the remodeling services I needed so that I did not have to move out, although the work was throughout the house. It included removal of ceiling texture in eight rooms and painting two bedrooms (walls and trim). They reworked kitchen cabinets and replaced countertops in both the kitchen and two baths, adding and replacing both indirect and decorative lighting fixtures. The workers were polite and careful with moving/protecting my furnishings and flexible in the timing of the work when personal issues came up. Joe went to what seemed like extra efforts to save costs on some things, keeping the overall budget quite reasonable. Overall, it was like working with family!"

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

Generally speaking, push piers—or steel piers—are the best option for underpinning, as they reach down to solid bedrock to find support for your foundation rather than relying on soil, which could be subject to the same issues as the soil directly below your foundation. However, the best underpinning method for your home depends on your location, how far down the bedrock is, and the type of soil in your area. Helical piers are usually the best option for sandy soil or in areas where the bedrock is too deep to use steel piers.

Charges correlate with surface size, settlement depth, and access, often yielding significant savings over concrete replacement.

Most states and municipalities don’t require concrete mudjacking companies to carry a specific license, but they usually need to have a general contractor’s license, and they should be fully insured. The only exception is if the mudjacking company provides foundation repairs as well, or if it offers mudjacking for home foundations. In that case, they will typically need a foundation repair contractor’s license. You can check state requirements and then use Angi’s license lookup tool to confirm that a company is properly licensed to provide mudjacking services in your area.

Yes, you can mudjack cracked concrete, but the cracks will need to be repaired once the concrete has been leveled. If the concrete is severely cracked in multiple places, replacement may be a better option, but for less severe cracking, mudjacking is a good solution as long as cracks are correctly caulked and sealed.

Concrete leveling can last anywhere from five to 10 years or more, and in some cases, it can be a permanent solution. The longevity depends on the method used and whether the underlying cause of the sinking is addressed. For example, mudjacking typically lasts five to 10 years, while polyjacking can last for 20 years or more. It's best to consult a professional for an accurate timeline based on your specific situation and any factors that could cause the issue to recur.
