"As always, the service was done in a complete and professional way. Air Systems installed our system five years ago and we have had them come back each year to provide maintenance to keep our system clean and working well. The cost for this service includes a spring AC maintenance and a fall heating maintenance and is well worth their reasonable fee. I would certainly recommend them for all heating and air conditioning service and repair."

"Kenneth Draper the Comfort Advisor came out to present the “Will”Fixit new Air condition package. He was highly professional and presented the various units and models we could choose. All our concerns and questions were answered fully, due to his thorough presentation. After having our installers change out our unit, it matched totally to what Kenneth Draper shared."

"I had no idea I needed to clean the vents. I have always lived in new homes. The first thing I noticed is that the vents did need cleaned, pictures of what the vents looked like before and after were shocking. I also noticed the quality of the air. The third is the air conditioner in this house is old and loud. The first night after the air conditioner vents were cleaned I woke up the next morning and realized that I had not been woken up by the air conditioner roaring. That in it self was the most shocking piece of getting my vents cleaned. My husband is sick I am looking at everything in our environment to make sure it is not the house making him sick. GET YOUR VENTS cleaned, you will be shock at what you find out about your air conditioning system vents. Each personà  à ¢à  à  à  à  s experience will be different. Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

No, it isn’t necessarily bad to turn your AC on and off frequently—contrary to popular belief. Even if you stop and start your AC throughout the day, it won’t use as much energy as it would if you ran it nonstop.

If you’re concerned about your power consumption and energy costs, there are a few simple ways to use your AC more efficiently. Regularly cleaning the filters, scheduling routine maintenance, and using a programmable thermostat are all great choices.

It’s not customary to tip HVAC technicians, and most professionals won’t expect it. However, it’s a nice way of showing your appreciation for the work they do, especially if they come out in inclement weather or on a weekend or holiday to fix an emergency issue if your heat or AC goes out in extreme temperatures. A good tip would be between 10% to 20% of the total bill, depending on how above and beyond the tech goes for your repair and on the total cost of your HVAC repair or service. For something like a routine tune-up or scheduled maintenance, tips aren’t expected.

Yes, mini split systems cool equally as well as central air. While a central system circulates air throughout the entire home at the same temperature, a mini split system allows each room to be cooled or heated at different temperatures based on your own preferences. Hire a HVAC professional to determine which type of system is best for your home.

A frozen coil can cause permanent damage to your HVAC system and lead to costly repairs if not fixed. It can cause the unit to overheat and also cause the compressor to fail. It’s vital to turn the unit off if the coil is frozen and address the issue as soon as possible.

To keep your air conditioner in good working condition, you should have it serviced by a professional at least once per year, ideally in the spring before the cooling season begins. If your AC unit is 10 years or older, consider servicing it twice a year (once in the spring and once in the fall) to catch potential problems early and help it reach its full lifespan. During a service visit, a technician will inspect, clean, and replace parts as needed. Regular maintenance helps avoid costly repairs. As a DIY task, you can also clean the evaporator coils annually.
