"They were prompt - they showed up when they said they would. They were professional in their work. They knew what they were doing - they stayed with the job until it was done - they didn't go to another job while working on mine. They even took their shoes off when they came into the house to keep from messing up the floor. Best of all they did a great job on my house. It looks great, and they were careful not to do any damage to the structure when they leveled it. And also they cleaned up all the trash when they left. That was a feat in itself considering all the digging they had to do. I am very please with their work."

"When I decided to go forward with foundation repair on my house I interviewed five companies and received quotes from all five. I decided to hire Vantage Foundation Repair because the plan Derk Mazurczak presented for placement of support made the most sense and, though the quote wasn't the lowest, I thought it was the best value because Vantage uses steel pilings and offers a transferable 25 year warranty. In addition to the foundation repair, I contracted Vantage to excavate (and refill) a tunnel under the house to gain access for plumbing repair. The quote for the excavation was fair compared to other quotes received. All work was done on schedule. Derk was professional, personable and communications were always prompt within reason. He always took time to answer questions and address concerns. The work crew, led my Calvin, were all polite, hardworking, considerate and removed all personal trash daily. When the projects were finished, the work areas were cleaned beyond my expectations. I'm very pleased with the outcome of both projects. A huge crack that was in an exterior brick wall came back together so well it is hardly noticeable and all of the doors now close as designed. The tunnel allowed sufficient space for the plumber to replace the old cast iron pipes with PVC. Without reservation, I recommend Vantage Foundation Repair to anyone that has need of their services. "Roy was very helpful and reached out to me to start repairs on my foundation. Their procedure for lifting and leveling my home was knowledgable and prompt. I felt their pricing was extremely competitive for the area and he was so helpful when it came to paying the bill. They require half down to start, the remainder when the job is finished. The job finished by having a professional engineer come out and do an entire new diagram of my home. Overall, awesome experience!"

Small jobs welcome

"Quite possibly the best experience Iâ ve had with any home improvement contractor. Brad came out and did measurements, was likable and did not try to give me a hard sale. Once we agreed on price, he got to work and had a crew here in record time. The crew was clean and polite, even visiting with my special-needs son. I cannot recommend this company enough."

"Adrienne was amazing, very helpful, and she was always checking on the progress while work was being done. She made me and my husband feel comfortable after having to make such a huge claim on our house. She made sure everything went smoothly with our insurance and all the work done. I would highly recommend Trinity for any restoration needs you might need. My 4 year old grandson even knows who to call when you need a new roof, Ms. Adrienne!"

"When I needed it most... My house is 16 years old, out of warranty and the foundation started to crack. I called Allen at Hercules prior to the pandemic. He came out and measured and found that the second story and garage were pulling away from the rest of the structure. Due to expense, I had to wait for repairs. I had no idea I would be waiting for the next two years almost due to CoVid. For those two years all I could think about was my house my house falling and there was absolutely nothing I could do about it. A few months ago, I felt like I was finally able to address the foundation. I called Allen again. Not only did he remember me, but he was here within a few days to reassess the house, give me a quote and schedule the work. Still, I had to wait. With the pandemic, material prices went up and so the cost of the repair. I was in a situation - again. I can't say enough about how Allen waited on me, worked with me and made sure I was able to get the repairs I needed. In addition, the crew he sent out was awesome! They led me through every step of the process. Lauren helped me with the financials and invoicing; they sent someone to walk me through the actual repair and let me know what was going to be done; they were here on schedule and completed the job in only two days!!! Not only did they close all the holes, it was as if the holes had not been there at all when literally saw grown men disappear into the ground around my house! When I needed it most, I felt like I was family - not financial gain. Hercules is a company you can truly rely on to do the job of caring for your needs and doing quality work. I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks Allen and crew:)"

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.

A good slump height really depends on the project, but there is a use for nearly all slump levels. For example, low slumps are best in projects that require structure, such as curbs and roads. High slumps often require additional reinforcement, but they flow more freely into hard-to-reach spaces.

The method involves lifting settled concrete using pressurized cement slurry via drilled holes. This solves uneven surfaces and prevents further settling.

Costs range from $500 to $1,500, depending on the size and condition of the area.

Polyjacking and mudjacking can both be effective solutions for sinking concrete, but they have key differences. Polyjacking, which uses expanding polyurethane foam, is often considered a better option because the foam is significantly lighter than the cementitious material used for mudjacking. This reduced weight puts less pressure on the underlying soil and lowers the risk of future sinking. Polyjacking is suitable for any sinking concrete slab, while mudjacking is typically only recommended for non-structural concrete, such as sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and driveways. The primary drawback of polyjacking is its cost, which can be up to four times higher than mudjacking—as much as $25 per square foot compared to a maximum of about $6 per square foot for mudjacking.
