"UPDATE - While there were issues with the repairs to the oven, the owner of the company called me personally to express his sincere regret for having any problems and assure me that excellent customer service is very important to the company. He ensured that the work was done to my satisfaction, refunded any money previously paid and offered a free inspection in the future should I need assistance. At the end of the day, things happen in life, and the true character of a person or company is how you deal with these challenges. Technician called to state that part is broken and would have to reorder. 9. 20-March – Call received from Uptown, stating that parts have been received and service needs to be set. I instructed Uptown to contact tenants. 10. 26-March - Appointment to install parts, after 5:30pm 11. 26-March - Company owner calls, stating that Uptown does not work after 5:30pm. Implies that delays are due to tenants not being responsive or available during working hours. He stated that, if the tenants cannot be available during working hours, he will refund the deposit of $600.00. I told him that I did not want the refund, I wanted the appliance repaired. 12. Appointment set for 29-March between 08:00 and 10:00 13. 29-March - Parts installed, unit working normally 14. 29-March - Invoice for services received IMMEDIATELY upon completion – AMAZING how quickly Uptown can submit an invoice, when their services took THREE MONTHS to complete!!!"

A convection microwave has two different modes that enable it to operate as a microwave or a convection oven. Inverter microwaves specifically use inverter technology that makes them more effective and able to evenly heat food at a rapid pace. Common household ingredients like lemons, vinegar, and baking soda will combat grease as effectively as harsh chemical solutions. Microwaves kept in good condition typically last about ten years.

Some of the most common microwave repair problems include magnetron failure and a plate that won’t spin. When a magnetron fails, the microwave won’t efficiently heat your food—a frustrating albeit common experience. Meanwhile, a plate that doesn’t spin won’t thoroughly heat food, even if the magnetron works.

Microwave repairs cost an average of $175, and most repairs fall between $100 and $200. Minor repairs, like replacing a broken diode or glass plate, can cost as little as $50, while major repairs like a door replacement can total between $400 and $500. In some cases, it’s more affordable to replace the entire microwave than it is to carry out repairs, especially if it’s nearing the end of its life.
