"Jose Luis and his crew were GREAT!! We had to have tile and some drywall redone in our bathroom. I feel that he and his crew were highly skilled and organized. I would call him again for any other similar work I need done. Priced reasonably and for great quality work. I am so grateful for my bathroom looking like new and pretty. Jose Luis and his crew were also kind and thoughtful which is hard to find in any industry - muchas gracias :-)"

"Omar and Josh arrived earlier than scheduled but called first. Were pleasant, professional and informative. They steam clean the tile and grout as well as applied a cleaning agent to the grout. Then let me choose between 4 different grout colors. On their knees with a toothbrush they meticulously applied the new grout color. upon completion my tile and grout appeared new. What a difference! Have had my kitchen tile and grout cleaned and resealed a couple of times prior to this by other companies, while the results were good they pale in comparison to this cleaning and recolor. In addition, my laminate floor was buffed with a neutral cleaner, in my living room and hallway. Will definitely use again for my tile maintenance needs."

"Planet Green did an amazing job. This is the second time I have used them and both were great. I had a new shower built with white subway tile on the walls and porcelain tile on the floor with black grout. The contractor who did the grout did a terrible job. The grout was uneven, grout was all over the wall and floor tile, and it was an absolute mess. Planet Green cleaned it up and made it look great. They are easy to work with and show up on time. Would definitely recommend."

"After the new ice maker was installed we paid for this service.  Another problem was detected after the bill had been paid, but Mr. Alvarez repaired this problem free of charge.  He was very helpful removing all of the food from the refrigerator because he had to reach the back panel for this repair.  We appreciate his professionalism and skill and will always call on him if we have an appliance problem.

"Tony and his team did an outstanding job on our outdoor kitchen...we are very pleased! We shared with Tony how we envisioned the layout. He provided a few invaluable suggestions to help increase countertop surface space and overall appeal. The extra countertop space has already proven to be a great idea! Our kitchen has granite countertops, granite wrapped backsplash, 4-in nicotine stone accented with bricks to match our home, and granite wrapped appliance spaces for a ceramic grill, 4-burner gas grill, power burner, and a drop-in icebox that doubles as a sink. We received quotes from several contractors, all of which used cinder block to build their kitchens. Tony uses steel framing for his kitchens which allow for maximum storage space beneath the kitchen. Everyday we look out at our patio and we can't believe that beautiful kitchen out there is ours!!! Thanks Texas Outdoor Escapes!"

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Using caulk is one of the simplest and most recommended methods to finish glass tile edges. It creates an elegant seam between the glass tile and the adjacent area, along with a waterproof seal. With this method, you want to use a caulk color that matches the grout and, along with the grout, compliments the tile. Make sure the caulk line is smooth and even. Alternatively, you can use a bullnose or tile trimming to edge, however, that will also require caulk to seal.

Phone jack installation can be a complicated project that requires cutting holes into just the right location in the wall and running delicate wiring. This sort of job is best left to the professionals.

No, tiling over painted walls or wallpapered surfaces is generally not recommended. Textured surfaces and paints will affect the adhesive, possibly causing tiles to lift or fall off. Painted walls with a semi-gloss or high-gloss finish are particularly difficult for adding tiles. It’s wise to strip the paint first if you install the tiles to drywall, although it’s still best to opt for a cement backer board.

Tiling can be DIY with the right tools and skills, but challenges like ensuring evenness and appropriate adhesion often warrant professional handling.

You should always use caulk instead of grout where the tile meets the wall. This will help your tile installation look great and last a long time. When you accidentally use grout for the corner seams, you end up making the tiles too rigid. So as the wall shifts over time, your tiles have no wiggle room. This can lead to tile damage, which will eventually require you to do at least a partial reinstallation.
