"We were in the unfortunate position of needing to replace two HVAC units in our home at the same time. We learned that our son is sensitive to mold and found that our existing units, which were 15 years old, had mold in the plenum. We reached out to five local A/C businesses in efforts to find a person or company we felt comfortable with who would install two new, trustworthy HVACs with a filtration system to combat mold. Adam at Cool Tech was the last person we met with of the five businesses, and ultimately the one who earned our trust. Where some of the companies saw an opportunity to add lots of extra bells and whistles (because of our son's sensitivity), Adam was honest and straightforward about what was necessary and what was not. He offered a competitive price on a time-tested brand (Trane) along with a unique filtration system called the iWave Air. When one of our trained professional gets to your home he will thoroughly evaluate the problem and give you a solution.
"We had leak that left a couple of water spots in our home and I called this company because of the good reviews. But we were indeed scammed, the technician quoted us $21k for a “bellying of our pipes”. We had mentioned to the tech that everytime we noticed the wet spots it was when we ran our dishwasher but he never checked our dishwasher or anything. We asked him to do the camera to check our pipes and he concluded the ‘pipe bellying’ due to ‘erosion’ (The pipe camera service is $450 btw, another ridiculous amount.) Well first of all, our home is a NEW build, its less than 5 yrs old so it ddnt make sense to me, plus who has 21k? We went ahead and hired a different plumbing company and within the first 15mins they concluded that it was our dishwasher that was causing the leak! I saw it with my own eyes. They said that i just needed to replace our dishwasher. They said that there’s nothing wrong with our pipes. Which totally makes sense because we noticed the leak everytime we used our dishwasher. Plus they fixed our garbage disposal for FREE compared to Texas quality plumbing quoted us $750 for a new one. How ridiculous. I called Texas quality plumbing because it was upsetting to get quoted 21k and i also asked for the video recording and pictures and a detailed report of the pipe camera service they provided and they cannot provide me with the report. They said ‘we can come out again and the tech will do it again and explain to you where he found the bellying’. They said that they dont even have the initial recording! Another thing to add, since we stopped using our dishwasher we haven’t had ANY LEAKS! PLEASE PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS WHEN USING THIS COMPANY AND MAKE SURE TO GET A SECOND OPINION! THIS COMPANY CHARGED US A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF MONEY AND THEY MISDIAGNOSED WHAT WAS WRONG! BOOK A DIFFERENT COMPANY! Attached are photos of their ridiculous prices.
