"From the call to see if they could install my new microwave vent hood I had a good feeling.  I didn't get an answering service or a machine but a real person at the business!  They just happened to have a cancelation so they were able to schedule me the same week.  Tim was on time and very professional, friendly and helpful.  He did a fantastic job and cleaned up afterward.  I will definitely use him again and will not hesitate referring him to my family, friends and clients.

"For starters, I was somehow allowed to purchase a Big Deal through this company even though they didn't service my area. The person I spoke to (I assume it was the owner) was professional about it and said since I had already purchased it he would honor it even though they didn't normally service my area (Leander, bordering Cedar Park). 
My house was built in 2006 so it's not very old. I'm sure the grout has never been cleaned though. They came out and cleaned it and when I got home I literally didn't think they had cleaned anything (my wife was home and saw them clean it though). I called them back, told them I wasn't happy and they said they would come back out for no charge. Again, very professional and much appreciated.
They came back out and this time they used an additional brush to hand scrub the grout after the machine. My wife confirmed that they didn't do this the first time. I spoke to the second cleaner and we found a spot before he started that was tucked away in a corner and obviously clean due to it never really being walked on and he agreed that all of the grout should look like that spot when he was done. After the cleaning the grout is wet and therefore you can't really tell how clean it is. Unfortunately, after it dried it still was not as clean as the clean spot in the corner. However, there was a noticeable improvement between the first and second cleaning."

"I called Jack on Tuesday to explore the possibility of installing a new hot water heater.  The old one was beginning to deliver sediment to the down stairs tub in the form of black, gravel like gunk.  He came by that afternoon to explore options for either flushing the existing heater or replacing it.  We  agreed that the best option was simply to replace the old heater since it was so old.  He said he could schedule the installation for Friday morning.  By Thursday the gunk coming into the tub made it unusable.
The next think I knew he informed me that he had a change in his schedule and could install the new heater Thursday afternoon.  He arrived at 3:00 PM and at 5:00 PM we had a new water heater, lines flushed and crystal clear water filling the tub.
This is the fourth time I have used Jack Crew and I will certainly call him again with any of my plumbing needs.

We have a water clarification system which we bought from them and they come out every year and do maintenance on it. It is more than just a softener, it's a clarification system as well, it crops out solids and everything. They've got a service tech that's really knowledgeable and knows his business. "I originally requested a "check-up" of my AC system by using an Angie's List "deal." The check-up was scheduled the same day that I bought the deal from Angie's List. This was a pleasant surprise to me, since we are in the worst of the summer heat, and I expected to have to wait a few days (or even weeks) for the check-up visit. The rep from AC Pros was very professional, and even though he gave me the bad news that my coil was shot and needed to be replaced, I was pleased with his knowledge, and the fact that he took the time to show me the condition of the coil, and explained why he made this recommendation. Again, I was surprised that AC Pros was able to schedule the replacement the very next morning. Many of my neighbors have recommended AC Pros wholeheartedly on our neighborhood social network pages, and they are highly rated on Angie's List, so I was comfortable agreeing to their price without shopping around, so I accepted their quote and scheduled the work. The installation crew showed up a few minutes earlier than the scheduled time, and finished the job within 15 minutes of their estimate. They showed me the failed parts, clearly explained their activities, and completed the work as expected. They remained on site to confirm that the repair was successful, and cleaned up the work site. They even separated recyclables from the trash and put them in the proper receptacles. I will definitely return to AC Pros for any future work and I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of these services."

"Jeff was great. We had two other roofing companies make repairs on a leak, and it was not fixed by them. When Jeff came out, he was able to spot a possible problem area right away. The person who did the actual repairs was very thorough. He did find an issue and corrected that problem, did an overall check of the rest of the roof, and corrected some other areas. We were pleased with the company overall."

"I would like to recommend these service contractor for bathroom repair/renewal. I live in a 20 year old house and my 2nd floor bathroom (tub) began to leak. Over the past year I have had 2 plumbers who did their best to solve the leaking problem, but came up short. The owner of Great Grout met with me and viewed our bathtub to provide an estimate and gave us realistic expectations of solving the problem (anything water related can never be 100%). The services he and his crew provided completely solved the problem. I really appreciated his workers tremendous skills and expertise. If I had more money, I would have all my bathrooms modernized because of the greatly improved visual difference too. I do think that this type of service is not something to be rushed. It did takes a couple of weeks of waiting, but I believe it may be due to their high demand because of how good they are, plus they seemed like they wanted to do the job correctly. I am very happy with the quality provided. Its really one of those scenarios where I wished I had called them 1st, vs calling people who didn't know how to solve it and the extreme $$$ (and time) I spent at the hardware store trying to fix it on my own.

"We live in South Austin. High winds broke a large tree and it fell on our 8-foot fence. The fence was pulled free from the corner post causing the fence to fall over and dislodge two of the metal posts. I had two other fence companies give bids for the repair. Neither proposal offered the services I requested. Both companies proposed more extensive work with bids from $1350 to $1500. Neither was willing to only replace the damaged posts like I asked, and they couldn’t get to a job “that small" for over three weeks. I called Mark Libby of The Fix It Man Repairs. Mark offered to come the following Wednesday to do a free estimate. I sent pictures of the damage and asked if he could give a “ball park” estimate from the pictures. I asked him to come on that day and fix the fence rather than to just make an estimate. He said he would arrive by 9 AM. He got to our house at 8:45, surveyed the damage, determined what materials would be required, and left to get materials. It turned out that ten-foot steel posts were not readily available at the home improvement stores. He called twice to assure me that he was still looking for posts and had not abandoned me. He returned about 12:30. I thought there was no way one person could finish the project by the end of the day, but I was wrong. He did an excellent job, removed all the scrap pieces, and was finished by 4:45 PM. Mark did the exact task that I had wanted and saved me a substantial amount of money. Mark does work outside of Cedar Park. I will not hesitate to call on him again for my maintenance, repair, and renovation projects. I heartily recommend him to anyone in need of a handyman. Mark knows how to fix it."
