"It went very well. I find Jack Crow and his son Tim to be the BEST OVERALL CONTRACTORS I've ever hired. They are prompt, knowledgeable and really seem to care. They're bids are always 30%-40% cheaper than any other plumber and sometimes as much as 5 times less (based on my direct experience with other disreputable plumbers). These guys are great. Admittedly, they sometimes take a little longer but that never translates into more money. They've done many things for me at no cost just because they were already there. They always answer questions and are just pleasant, nice people."

"I like the water filter they gave me. I can get the water straight from the tap. They gave me a free installation because I am an Angie's List member. All the salt is removed from my water. They told me if I referred anyone to them they would give me $500 credit. My skin feels better and all my food and coffee I make with my water taste better. Installing a salt filter is not as good because you end up loosing 300 gallons of water a month. One time I called to tell them my filter was leaking and they found everything was running and they didn't charge me."

"Great, Alex is super professional guy, he also came by the house to make sure there were no problems. He got onto the roof after it was done and checked to make sure it was installed correctly. He check the front and backyard with a magnetic to make sure all the nails were picked up from the yard. He did a great job."

"Please add to my previous review: Jeff took pictures of the problem areas and showed me, and then took pictures of the areas after repairs were made. No one whom I've hired previously in an attempt to repair the leaks has done this, and I greatly appreciated being able to see the before and after.  It's been 10 months since the repair, and there has been no sign of leaking.  He's the first one (of many attempted) who has actually gotten the job done!

"The project went very well. The owner (Giovanni) and his crew were very professional and did excellent work. Everything went smoothly from the initial visit for an estimate through the process of removing the old grout, applying and sealing the new grout and cleaning up the work area. Giovanni did an excellent job of keeping me informed about what to expect and when the work would be done. I wish that all contractors and service people were so diligent in their work. It is amazing what a difference this job has made. It looks like I have a new bathroom and I could not be happier."

Install Garbage Disposal questions, answered by experts

Soil is just one of the items you shouldn't put down a garbage disposal. Garbage disposals are only meant for soft, non-fibrous foods. Large amounts of topsoil, dirt, or rocks will damage the blades of your garbage disposal or clog the pipes. If a small amount of dirt goes down the drain as you repot a plant, you shouldn't have to worry, but never dump a whole pot of soil in the sink for fast disposal.

Your garbage disposal will only affect the health of your septic tank if you’re using it too frequently, or filling it with organic waste that doesn’t fully break down. If the tank fills up with too many solids, the bacteria won’t have enough time to consume it before more is added, which can lead to an overflow in the drain field. Your tank will need to be pumped more frequently with excessive or improper garbage disposal use.

On average, it takes one to four hours for a professional to install a garbage disposal. This includes removing the old unit, taking necessary measurements for positioning, removing and fitting new pipes, and installing the brand-new disposal system. If there are unforeseen issues, such as accessibility concerns, the process takes longer.

Your garbage disposal is not draining because it might have a clog due to food waste, a foreign object, grease, oil, fat, or it may have a broken motor. When water doesn't flush out of the disposal, that's a key sign that your disposal has a clog or needs repair.

There are many maintenance and repair issues that lead to a malfunctioning garbage disposal. Regular clogs place wear and tear on the motors, leading to an eventual shutdown. Electrical issues at the breaker, wall outlet, or disposal itself can fry the unit. The most common cause is simply a worn-down motor. These motors can only handle so much use before powering down for good.
