The subcontractor's plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry were all A plus.

Our only regret was using Wisenbacker as suggested by Brandon for granite and tile work. As a note of caution,

Wisenbacker products are of high quality, but their installation quality varies  from unacceptable to A plus.

With the hard work of my husband and Brandon working with Wisenbackers installation issues were resolved.

Bow windows need support because they are large and extend out from the exterior wall of the home. Bow windows may extend 1 foot to several feet from the outside of the home, so you’ll need to provide additional support to handle this weight. Joists do distribute their load to beams, but they don’t sit on top of the beams. Instead, home builders nail or screw the joists directly to the beams such that the end of the joist butts up against the edge of the beam. Bump-outs are a good discussion to have with your contractor if you’re just looking to increase the space a little—not renovate the entire closet space.
