"Overall, the painter did a professional job.  What I wasn't pleased with was that I wasn't aware until the day of the job, when the painter called just moments before reporting to my home, that I was expected to have certain items available (i.e., brown paper and tape).  I assumed those things were part of the service.  He arrived at 8:15, documented this as his "start time", and then left went to Home Depot to get the brown paper and tape.  That was a 30-40 of minutes of lost services, of which was an additional $11.00 charge...but I got to keep the paper and tape, so there's that.  It took him all day to paint just the living room and hallway walls, and backdoor. I ended up painting the baseboards. What he did paint, looks good, and he cleaned up after himself.  I was strapped for time, which is why I employed the service of a professional to begin with, but if I had had an extra day to all the things on my list, I could have saved the money and done this job myself.
