"Saul was so communicative and flexible during our first consultation. I was moving to Texas from out of State and I wanted to have epoxy done before our household goods arrived. He accommodated our schedule and time. From prep to the end, our 3 car garage epoxy floor was done nicely and professionally. I would hire Saul again in a heartbeat. Price was also great. I did a lot of research before hiring him and it was a good choice. Do not hesitate to hire Saul for epoxy. My garage looks great!!"

"Leon did an excellent job for us on both our front and back porches. We did a stamped and stained concrete on our front porch and put epoxy flake coating on our concrete porch in the back yard. He and his team were very thorough annd professional and at the same time got the jobs done quickly. Would highly recommend!"

"Scott Garage Concepts installed a decorative epoxy floor coating on top of our concrete garage floor. Prior to this he had to patch large areas where the floor was cracking up from spalling. A couple of other companies passed on the job because of this. Scott did a fine job, pleasant to work with, extremely reasonable price and payment was not due until the work was completed."

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

The life span of a painted concrete driveway can vary based on several factors. When properly prepared, primed, and painted with high-quality concrete paint, a well-maintained driveway can last 5 to 10 years or more. Other factors like climate conditions, traffic volume, and lack of maintenance also impact life span. Regular cleaning, resealing, and touch-ups can extend the longevity of a painted concrete driveway, ensuring it remains both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Acid-based concrete stain is generally considered the best option because it lasts about four times as long and penetrates the deepest into concrete to give richer, full-bodied colors. If you prefer more vibrant colors, though, many water-based concrete stains are available that could provide a solution you can't find from earth-toned acid-based solutions.

When you’re painting a garage floor, it’s best to use a combination of rollers and brushes. You’ll want to start with a brush, making a border around the edges where the floor meets the wall. From there you can use a roller, though some people also like to do the entire first coat with a brush because it’s easier to work the paint into the textured concrete.

Whether it's better to stain or paint concrete depends on your budget, desired aesthetic, and DIY skill level. Generally, staining is a more durable option because the stain soaks into the concrete's surface and won't wear away like a topical paint coating. Painting concrete can trap moisture underneath the paint layer, which may cause the concrete to deteriorate over time. However, concrete paint offers a wider variety of colors, is typically easier and less expensive to apply, and is effective at covering up existing stains or blemishes on the surface.

Epoxy flooring is used in many outdoor applications. Pebble epoxy flooring, in particular, is a great choice for most areas like porches, patios, and walkways. It adds visual appeal while adding texture using natural materials. The surface, however, can be slick when wet. Consider adding a non-slip additive if the area gets heavy foot traffic or if you live in a wet climate.
