"I had my condo's balcony enclosure replaced with screens, double glass windows and doors, venetian blinds and flooring, Andrew Mulichak was the design consultant I worked with. He was terrific. He was thorough in explainig my options, helpful in filling out papers for my orders and for financing, He was fun to work with and I recommend calling him if you want a new sunroom or enclosure. I had some installation glitches but the company was good at fixing the problems. I love my new enclosure and I'm glad I hired Patio Enclosures."

"Tx QuickBids did a Great Job. They turned our house into our forever home. One of the things we like most is that they care about making the customer happy instead of just getting to the next job. The owner was very professional, attentive, and responsive during the process. I wanted to upload the before pictures as well but the file was to big. If you have any projects coming up give them a call."

"The job was performed exactly as expected. Part of the patio had collapsed and was sinking 8 inches below the ground level. Southern Concrete Raising was able to bring it back up to level. They also fixed other sections that were not level. Thank you Southern Concrete Raising."

"I recently completed a six-month project with NRG Remodeling, and I couldn't be more impressed! The renovation of my 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home, and kitchen went smoothly from start to finish. The communication was top-notch, and the team worked quickly and efficiently, all while maintaining very fair pricing. The quality of the workmanship was outstanding, and the entire experience was stress-free—much smoother than I anticipated. It's rare to find such a professional and personable team, and I’m already planning my next project with them. I would absolutely recommend them for any home renovation and will definitely turn to them for future work!"

"We scheduled an appt with Bill Deyoe to come to our property & take measurements, after seeing the product @ a home show event. Bill was on time, friendly, knowledgable of the product & very professional. He took measurements & notes, made a rough drawing of what we were asking, & gave us an estimate. An additional follow-up appt was made for Bill & the company's project mgr, Zachary Landers, to return to take final measurements before the order was placed. They returned as promised on the agreed to date/time & again, were friendly, knowledgable & professional. Fabrication took a little less than the quoted 8 weeks. Our installation date was scheduled & the crew arrived as promised & on time. They were incredibly organized & efficient & the finished product was completed & fully operational w/in 2 days (start-to-finish). The installation crew were all friendly, professional, courteous & took the time to answer any questions and explain in detail, how to operate the roof, etc. An added bonus & one I definitely appreciated, was they completely cleaned up the work area when they left....not that they made much of a mess during installation, but they left no tools or trash lying around on either of the two days they were on our property. The entire project seemed effortless & stress-free. The finished product is beautiful & has not only enhanced our property with additional, usable living space but also our lives, as we spend as much time as possible outside, enjoying our backyard under our beautiful Marygrove louvered roof pergola!"

"The overall project was fine, but the contractor was unwilling to address the issues caused by his crew. For example, the patio with a border was completed, but the roofers trampled all over it. Their solution was to insert rebar to prop the border back up. With five grandchildren under the age of six, this creates a safety concern, as they could easily injure themselves."

Patios questions, answered by experts

A lanai is a covered patio with open walls, while a Florida room has sides made of mesh screens or windows, with or without partial low walls. In addition, lanais often use concrete or other patio flooring, while Florida rooms may have more indoor-style flooring like tile or wood. Both allow you to enjoy the outdoors without being in the direct sun, but a lanai doesn’t offer any barrier against insects or debris.

In most cases, you can attach a greenhouse to any type of house. However, certain factors need to be considered, such as the structural integrity of the house, available space, and local building regulations. You should consult with a professional contractor or architect to assess the feasibility and ensure proper construction methods.

The cost to screen in a porch depends on whether you are adding screens to an existing structure or building a new one from scratch. Adding screens to an existing porch costs about $5 to $7 per square foot, with a national average cost of around $2,800. For example, screening a 12-by-12-foot (144-square-foot) porch would likely cost between $700 and $1,000. If you are building a new screened-in porch, the cost is substantially higher. A new 12-by-12-foot screened-in porch can cost between $6,400 and $18,300, while a new 14-by-16-foot one averages around $11,000. The final price will vary based on the size of the porch, labor costs, and the materials you choose.

If you’re trying to decide between a sunroom and a screened-in porch, the right choice will depend on your priorities. A screened-in porch costs only a fraction of the price of a sunroom, but in exchange, it has much more limited use. A sunroom will add more value to your home, but at a much higher up-front cost and longer construction timeline.

Yes, but ensuring the deck has a solid foundation with adequate footings is critical before building, as the weight of a sunroom will put significant pressure on the structure below. Even if your deck is properly constructed, it may not be able to handle the extra weight. While some basic, lightweight, prefabricated sunrooms can sit on a deck with a strong existing foundation without additional supports, in many cases, the foundation and joists will need reinforcement. It is always best to have a structural engineer perform an inspection to evaluate the deck's quality and structural integrity. A professional can help you decide if reinforcement is sufficient or if it's better to tear down the deck and start over.
