"Everything turned out fine. When it first arrived, it was damaged in the shipping. It took them quite a while to get something back to us, or even to call me back when I wrote to them. But then, once they got the ball rolling, it went very quickly. It took them probably about a month to even get back to me. The price was very good. Once somebody actually did speak with me, they were very responsive. They were pretty professional when I spoke to them. I just think that they were light on manpower."

"When I requested the service from Curtis for Saturday I understood the cost would be $142.50 per hour. However, Curtis described how they did not charge extra for having a helper accompany the electrician. I interpreted this to mean that two people would be dispatched to do the work, The cost seemed reasonable for two people on a Saturday. Only one person came and he was not an electrician. He was a journeyman. The estimated time for completing the work was 4 hours. The work was not completed in 10 hours (2 hours for lunch) after which I sent the journeyman home and resolved to complete the work myself. The quality of the electrical aspect of the work seems acceptable. The only error I have discovered so far is that the light switch was installed upside down. I have not yet installed the fan units, so I have to reserve judgement on those electrical connections. Had a helper been dispatched with the journeyman I think the work would have proceeded according to the 4 hour time estimate that Curtis originally made. After some discussion Curtis reluctantly reduced the number of hours to 6 from the 8 hours charged by the journeyman. Overall this performance seems about average for a service company. In the future I will search for above average performers.

"Wilson B. promptly gets to work, diagnoses wiring problems accurately & got double gang switches for fan lighting & fan motors working. Easy to talk to & relates well with customer. Think I have found an electrician that I can trust & would not hesitate to recommend to family, friends & neighbors. Wilson B. inspected outdoor breaker box & did not try to sell me a replacement breaker box job, but instead recommended some simple & straightforward maintenance solutions & provided estimate of maintenance cost if he were to perform work. "Below are the details of our experience with Drain Xperts. Overall, I would highly recommend this company for drainage work. We recently moved into a home that had some backyard flooding issues. The front yard is heavily sloped to the street but the backyard is slightly lower which caused pooling even on a light rain. A friend of mine had recently received quotes from a few companies that specialize in drainage systems and chose Drain Xperts. I was able to see the project in various stages and was impressed with the quality of work for the price. My friend's neighbor also chose Drain Xperts after and the job was done well. I did not give a rating for the price because I did not seek out other bids after my friend's research in a similar job. Drain Xperts was by far the best price. Jimmy came to give a quote on a day that there was standing water in the yard so he was able to see the location of the problem areas. Jimmy was obviously very experienced in this work and we talked about some other projects his company had worked on. He proposed a system that eventually included about 175 feet of 4inch PVC starting on one point of the backyard, wrapped around the deck to the back of the yard, then to the other side of the yard and then went straight down to the street along a brand new plumbing drain pipe that was installed weeks before. Along the path of the pipe included drain boxes throughout to collect the water. They also installed three drain pipe stems next to the house so that future gutters would be able to flow directly into the new drain system. The crew used extra dirt from digging to grade areas of the yard so that water would flow away from the house and toward the drain boxes. Jimmy's crew worked fast and did a great job. The work was permitted through the City of Houston. Jimmy and his crew were professional and responsive during the entire process and gave no hassle when we asked for minor modifications to the project. We have already seen positive results from the system and don't cringe at the thought of rain coming. Once we add the gutters and do additional grading in certain parts of the yard, the system will be even better. As I mentioned at the beginning, I would highly recommend Jimmy and Drain Xperts for your drainage project."

"The 9 inches of rain from remnants of Patricia gave it the ultimate test and it performed beautifully. Whereas minor rain events caused ponding before, with the new drainage there was barely any standing water even as these heavy rains were ongoing.
The sprinkler system was trickier to fix than anticipated since a previous contractor had accidentally cut the electric lines between the nozzles. Rob and his crew were able to get everything back into working order.
Tree trimming also was handled professionally, as Rob carefully identified which branches needed trimming so as to let in sufficient light for the grass while maintaining the health of the tree.
