"The were able to react quickly to a plumbing leak and get me sorted the same day. They did a good inspection, told me how the drainage system was set up and were able to scope the lines to determine whether there was a break in any of them. They then fixed the problem (bad wax ring) and get things working right very quickly. They even re-caulked the base of the toilet, something I was expecting to have to do myself."

"Thereâ s so much I want to say about these amazing superheroes but I will limit my review to focus on the best part of my whole experience. I am a divorced mother who works from home. I have been without hot water for months because of an issue with my water heater not heating properly. They first came out and accessed the unit itself. Not only did they give me detailed information about my non working unit. They explained every step of what the process to install the new unit would entail. They did the repair work while I worked , taking calls. They were careful and respectful of my property. The head plumber took his boots off as to not track any dirt on my rug or throughout my home. They were precise. They made sure to not just install the unit but to fix other things around the unit so they the entire area was fully functional and cohesive. They were extraordinary! These two gentle-heroes were so professional, funny, kind and timely. I expected to be without water for days. The water was only off for a few hours (if that.) Iâ m crying as I type this because their entire mannerisms and personalities were just so warm and caring that my children felt safe with them in our home. That meant a lot to me. Even after they finished the repair work , they walked me through everything. Everything. Iâ m trying to be brief but thereâ s so much more that they did that made me a â foreverâ customer. I can honestly say that I would NOT recommend any other company to handle your plumbing needs besides these wonderful gents. I can officially go on record as saying that not all superheroes wear capes BUT they most certainly wear boots and caps. Thank you for giving us our home back!"

"While visiting family in the Austin area, my son’s upstairs bathroom started overflowing. Austin Express came out quickly and completed the task, what a relief. Mr. Ortiz was kind and friendly, mostly left the area clean. My son got his card, because he will definitely be using him again. Thank you!!"

Adding a half bathroom can be worth it for two reasons: you want to increase the livability of your home and increase its value. While a value increase is more likely for a smaller home than a larger one, smaller houses with a large number of occupants can see a drastic increase in the ease and flow of daily life with the addition of a half bathroom.

A high pitch noise after flushing is likely caused by the fill valve being clogged with debris. You can repair this and eliminate the noise by removing the fill valve from the tank, and then cleaning the valve screen. Place the clean fill valve back in the tank and flush as normal.

Yes, you should screw your flange to the subfloor, including cement. The best way to get this done is to predrill holes into the concrete using a hammer drill and a ¼-inch concrete bit. Be careful when you’re ready to bolt your flange down, as you can accidentally crack it. You can avoid this issue by not installing the screws too deep. Or, you can opt for a flange with a stainless steel ring so you don’t have to worry about cracking the plastic.

You should choose the type of toilet that meets your budget, fits properly in your space, and matches the rest of your decor. If you’ve never gone toilet shopping before, you might be surprised at how many options are available. Most homeowners choose a two-piece toilet, which is the industry standard, and a gravity flush system is the most common. However, dual-flush and low-flush toilets are becoming more prevalent as more people become conscious of water consumption.

You generally cannot replace a 10-inch rough-in toilet with a 12-inch model without making significant plumbing updates. A 12-inch rough-in toilet will not fit a 10-inch rough-in space because the floor drain is in the wrong position. To accommodate the larger toilet, you would need to move the drainpipe, which could cost between $0.75 and $30 per linear foot, plus labor. In most cases, it is more cost-effective and simpler to purchase a new 10-inch rough-in toilet. However, it is possible to install a 10-inch rough-in toilet in a 12-inch space by using a longer connector.
