Some spring showers caused delays but we were always kept informed. The work area was kept clean. The first order of business was to repair a leak at the skimmer. Once that was done, Z&Z prepped the pool for replacing the old waterline tile and replastering. We were provided with a number of plaster options and encouraged to consider add-ins that we didn't know existed. The results are amazing! The coping is gorgeous travertine that will be sealed with a gloss finish to show off its texture and colors. The cool deck was updated and a lingering problem from the original pool construction (the electrical line from the light was placed above the deck but once hidden by a diving board removed long ago) was addressed. "Hilario is a very thoughtful person and very mindful of his customers and business. During the estimate he advised us of our options and we settled on what was to be done. He gave us a start date and his guys showed up on time on the date we were told. Cleaning and preparations of the plaster service were completed on that day. Hilario was either on the job or in contact with us every day to lead us through the process. He kept us up to date on each step. We actually changed our minds about which surface we wanted in our pool and he made the change immediately without any time changes to the schedule. During the last step we decided we wanted to replace our fiber optic pool light with something more modern. Hilario told us if our options and helped us decide what would work the best for our pool. Hilario actually did the light replacement himself and did a great job installing the our new LED pool light. The new light is programmable so he ran is through the instructions. When we had other companies here for estimates they tried to gouge us for every little thing. I hate that kind of treatment. Hilario still keeps in touch asking how everything is going with his work. We set up a time for his tech to come complete the work. When the tech/plumber arrived the next morning he was also friendly and knowledgeable. He completed the work in about three hours (which included a brief run to the hardware store to buy parts) and made sure everything was perfect and with no leaks before leaving. In my opinion, one of the best things about this company is their desire to educate the pool owner. Both men that came to my house taught me several valuable things about keeping up my pool. Colt took longer on the design process and initial bidding, but wow did he come in strong. Instead of pushing a cookie cutter design he listened to us and asked us a ton of questions. He truly educated on the process and helped understand why certain items we did not want to skimp on and others that could be skipped in order to stay on budget. His 30 years of pool building came through as well as his knowledge of the industry. His crews were great and very respectful of my home. Three months in and our backyard is a travertine oasis."
