If you attempt to work on it yourself, you void the warranty of the system. They provided me with a quote of $3,600 for the softener, dechlorinator, and RO system which was a fair deal in my opinion. The only reason why I did no go with the company is that their service charge is $187 for each visit. That combined with the price of kinetico parts that are way more expensive than other brands. I m sure it s a great water softener, but the service charge fee is more then 3 times more than other competitors in the area."
