"We were hit by the recent tornadoes which took most of the west side of our house off. Despite high demand for masons these days Augusto was able to swing by and offer a bid the next day after initial contact and start work within two days. Their workmanship is excellent, priced competitively and they left the place very clean, even taking more debris with them than just from the crushed masonry."

"We hired Homeco to check our foundation. We knew we had issues.Lamar came out and gave us a knowledgable and HONEST estimate of what we needed done.We had had other companies out for estimates.A new sill was installed and concrete foundation supports were installed. We also had them get rid of the mold, install automatic vents, crawlspace fan and moisture barrier. At no point were we pressured into having more done than we chose to do.The job began quickly.Either Lamar or Shae were on site with the work crew. Allen, was very well trained and such a perfectionist.Shae and Lamar are also perfectionists, who stand behind their company.Every person who came to the job were polite and friendly. But the most important thing was that everyone worked so very hard. There was absolutely no messes left. The job was finished and went beyond our expectations.I would highly recommend Homeco to anyone needing their service.I also want to thank each and ever person who worked here."

"Outstanding repair that saved me thousands of dollars. Rather than remove and replaced, I was pleasantly surprised that the existing broken slab could be elevated back up to the original position, then a simple resurfacing could then be done. My issue was rain water that I have now mitigated. The cool thing was that a brick retaining wall sitting on top of the broken slab also elevate to its original position, Simple mortar work will make it all perfect. These guys are legit. Hats off to Levi Woods who came out to see the need, then provide some education of the AFS process and ultimately an estimate, as well as Matthew Martin and Parris Houchins who did the repair. Outstanding young men, all. I will ask them to return for a couple smaller driveway slab repairs. Most strongly recommended! Dave O."

Masonry questions, answered by experts

Several unexpected expenses arise during masonry work in Spring Hill. Projects require extra charges for soil drainage correction, local permit fees, and structural engineering plans for tall retaining walls. Sourcing discontinued brick to match older homes adds significant expense. Contractors also uncover hidden water damage behind brick veneers or deteriorated chimney liners that require full replacement. Check your homeowner association rules to avoid costly delays and material rejections.

Helpful?

Completing masonry work provides immediate protection against heavy TN rainfall and severe storms. Prompt repairs stop seasonal clay soil movement from enlarging existing cracks. Over time, well-maintained brick and block structures last for over a century and boost your property value. Proper retaining walls protect your foundation from soil pressure. Sealed brickwork also improves energy efficiency by reducing air drafts during hot summers and freezing winters.

Helpful?

To determine if you need masonry work, look for specific signs around your TN home. White salt deposits, stair-step cracks in brick, and surface flaking require a masonry professional. Chimney leaks mimic roof damage but demand a chimney specialist. Conversely, drywall cracks indicate framing issues, and leaning wood fences require a fencing contractor. Always hire a professional to evaluate sunken driveways, as these indicate underlying drainage problems.

Helpful?

When planning masonry work, you have several professional options in Spring Hill. General masonry contractors handle brick, block, and stone for residential structures. Chimney specialists address fireplace repairs. Hardscape contractors build retaining walls and patios suited for hilly terrain. You will also find concrete professionals for foundation repairs and restoration specialists for historic properties. General contractors hire specialized crews for new construction projects across the local area.

Helpful?

Address urgent masonry work immediately to protect your home from severe weather in Spring Hill. You must repair structural chimney damage, failing retaining walls, and widening foundation cracks right away to prevent sudden collapses. Cosmetic issues like white salt deposits safely wait for milder seasons. Schedule non-urgent mortar repairs during the spring or fall when temperatures remain moderate to ensure the materials cure properly.
