"From the beginning to the finish of my roofing project my experience with Fuller was outstanding. They are professional, personable and the estimate they gave me was fair and very affordable. The men who installed my roof did an outstanding job both with the installation of the roof and the cleanup. I would highly recommend Fuller Construction for your roofing needs."

"We worked with Roof MD to repair a leaking sunroom roof. Shawn answered all the questions we had (which was a lot!) and offered great follow-up on scheduling. They were quick to schedule the service, showed up on time, and got the job done. The crew was friendly and tidy. While I hope I don't have a roof leak again, I would definitely hire them again!"

"I recently had Storm Guard Roofing handle a roof replacement for my home, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Their integrity and professionalism stood out throughout the entire process. Not only did they do an excellent job with the replacement, but they also went above and beyond to assist us with the insurance claim process. Their dedication and expertise have earned them my business for life. Highly recommended for anyone in need of roofing services."

"The install crew for our new roof, led by Denise Wilcox, did an excellent job. Denise herself was on-site most of the install time including on the roof. Almost all installers are independent roof crews hired by roofers to do the work but you never see the salesperson out there after you signed the contract. Nope, they hire the roof crew as a sub and keep a fat profit, not visiting the site again until time to pick up the insurance check. Not so with Precision. Why even after the install, due to an engine oil leak in the street from one of the roofers on install day, Denise and a roofer came out with stiff brushes and dawn dish soap and scrubbed a stain away on the asphalt. Now who does that except for a conscientious owner named Denise. Call Precision Roofers in Spring Hill. This was my 3rd roof in the last couple of years and I will call Denise and Jason at Precision Roofing again, and refer to them for whoever needs a roof going forward."

"This company sent an employee out to work on my roof perhaps on the hottest day of the year. Not only did he find the problem that I wanted repaired he found a second very bad problem and repaired it also."

Roofing questions, answered by experts

Flat roofs are a solid option for people who want extra outdoor space. Flat roofs are very common in other parts of the world and only recently has the U.S. started to see the benefit in the increased space. Flat roofs are also easier to maintain and pose much less of a safety risk, which allows for more DIY work for handy homeowners. Some people also build green or living roofs that grow plant life.

Homeowners insurance sometimes covers roof decking, but it depends on the cause of damage and whether the decking was properly installed. If the roof decking was damaged by a severe storm, then it will likely be covered. Insurance may also pay for roof decking work if building codes require it. However, insurance won’t cover damage caused by normal wear and tear or poor maintenance practices.

Yes, installing a new metal or tin roof can increase your home's value. A metal roof's longevity and durability are major selling points for prospective buyers, as it means they likely won't have to worry about a roof replacement. These roofs can last 40 to 80 years, which is significantly longer than traditional asphalt roofs.

In terms of return on investment (ROI), homeowners may see an increase in home value of around $7,000 to $8,000, which can represent 60% to 70% of the installation cost. Another way to measure ROI is per square foot, which can range from $3.00 to $8.40, with higher returns in areas where a durable roof is particularly beneficial.

The most obvious and severe sign of a roof leak is the presence of wet spots on your ceilings, specifically on the top floor of your home. You can also identify a roof leak from your attic if you see sagging insulation or if you notice mold growth or water stains on the rafters or the underside of the roof deck. From the street, look for cracked or missing shingles, moss growth, and shingles that are curling upward, all of which can suggest a leak.

Yes, you can walk on torch down roofing. It is durable and tear-resistant enough to handle that kind of low-level wear. Remember that torch down roofing can get uncomfortably hot in certain climates. Dark roofing absorbs heat and can burn bare feet. If you want to use a roof deck for lounging, you may want to install a lighter-colored PVC membrane.
