"Scott and his team are amazing. This is the second time I have had them do work for me and they always go above and beyond. We chose to purchase the flooring ourselves and have them install but didn’t realize the flooring we bought was very low quality. Scott stopped work and contacted me to let me know he would move forward with the work if I wanted him to but he highly recommended buying a different flooring. He was right and he helped us call around to find flooring that day and went to pick it up for us. The installation is perfect and took less time than we expected. To say they went above beyond is to say the least. Great group of people who do great work! 10/10 recommend."

"Every aspect of the process - from scheduling the initial consultation through the actual installation - was done professionally and as promised. David is an awesome sales person (so much experience!) and Keith is a superlative project manager. The installation team worked quickly but thoroughly and very well. Totally love the new floors!"

"Tony came out on a Friday evening after work and made our carpet butt up against our newly laid hardwood flooring at 4 different doorways. He worked quickly but carefully and we LOVE his work. I would HIGHLY recommend Tony for both his quality of work and his flexibility. Would hire him again in a heartbeat (which is more than I can say about my hardwood flooring company: K & M Hardwood Flooring out of Spring Hill, TN.)"

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

Plywood is the best type of subfloor for a mobile home, though if you’re installing flooring in a bathroom, you may want to install a vapor barrier or use a moisture-proof subfloor material like Amdry. OBS is similar, but it can swell when moisture is present.

Either way, old mobile home subflooring made from particleboard can cause issues with your joints. If you’re replacing your subfloor, it’s best to upgrade to plywood.

Pergo flooring is waterproof, right down to the bevels. The company claims that the material has a 100% watertight surface. Of course, this depends on how expertly the flooring was installed, so make sure to do some research before choosing an installation pro.

Outdoor kitchens get wet and are sometimes next to pools. To avoid accidents, go with a non-slip material like concrete, brick, or rubber. Avoid materials like ceramic and porcelain, as they are known to be quite slippery. Wood and composite flooring can be slippery if untreated, so make sure to stain or finish these materials.

In most cases, laminate flooring is better for people with dust or other allergies as laminate is easier to clean. Carpet can trap pollen and other allergens, allowing them to be kicked up into the air again with foot traffic. Consult your flooring specialist about the best types of carpet or laminate flooring to use based on your household member’s needs.

No, when done correctly, removing the tile shouldn’t damage the subfloor. However, if there was pre-existing damage to the subfloor from standard use or lack of maintenance, the subfloor may need repairs. For example, if the contractors notice mold growth on the subfloor or an uneven surface, you may need more extensive services before installing new tile.

If you DIY tile removal, remove the tiles one step at a time, individually removing the tile, grout, and mortar to prevent unnecessarily damaging the subfloor. Depending on the age of your home, consider having a professional inspect the subfloor to ensure it’s in good enough condition to lay new tile.
