"This was the first time I had used Home Advisor or Angi for any project. But it will not be the last. I was very pleased with the outcome of the work. The technician kept me updated with their arrival schedule and it was right on point. They entered my home looked over the project. Ask me exactly what I wanted the finished goal to look like. They then VERY PROFESSIONALLY started the work. Before I realized it the 85 inch television was up and they were cleaning up and ready to leave. I Know I have already said it, I will most definitely use service for a few other projects I have. I would and will rate the technicians A+ for both service and satisfaction."

Marvelous job!  Our 11-year-old house was long past due for new paint.  Lots of patching was required in all rooms; Chris and Arturo found and repaired areas we hadn't even noticed.  This was an arduous task - the ceilings in the living room and foyer are two stories high.  The painters arrived promptly every day, behaved professionally, and completed the work in about 4 days. Our house looks far better than it did when new.  I only have three wishes:

1)  Wish we hadn't waited so long

2)  Wish we had painted after fireplace and foyer tile work and new carpet.  The painters didn't spill a drop but the tile guy and carpet installers banged up our newly-painted baseboards.  We'll gladly hire Chris to touch up the damage.

3)  Wish other types of home improvement services were included in his repertoire.  He'd have a full-time job at our house!

Keep in mind that this is a small business and Chris is out on the job himself every day.  Leave him a message and be patient - he will get back to you - and he is well worth waiting for.

"David was able to quickly arrange for having a few rooms in my house painted prior to move in. I had planned on painting myself, but ran out of time. With only a few days notice, he was able to send someone out, Mike, to complete the job. I'm glad he happened to have the availability with such short notice! Both David and Mike were responsive and easy to work with. I'd certainly recommend this company for interior paint, and expect David has a similar degree of professionalism with other jobs. Good find on Angie's list

Barndominium Builders questions, answered by experts

In the U.S., original and converted carriage houses are most often found in New England, New York, and other parts of the Northeast. New construction carriage houses can be found across the country, and are often added to properties with Colonial-style homes for additional living, storage, or work space, although they can be found in many different styles.

If you’re building a pole barn in place of a traditional home, lenders usually don’t offer traditional mortgages for these structures. You can also expect higher insulation costs and building permits may not be allowed in your area. Even if you’re just using a pole barn as storage or as a shelter for animals, these structures are less durable than steel buildings and require more maintenance.

It is almost always more affordable to buy an existing home than to build a new one. Building a home involves numerous costs, including labor, permits, inspections, utility hookups, and brand-new materials, finishes, and appliances. Additionally, new construction loans can have higher interest rates than traditional mortgages, and property taxes on new homes are often higher, increasing long-term costs. An exception is a DIY house build, which can be cheaper than buying an existing home if you do the labor yourself. While building is generally more expensive, a new custom home offers complete control over the layout and design. Furthermore, new construction is typically worth more than a comparable pre-owned home and may provide a better return on investment if sold quickly.

While a romantic getaway in a vacation treehouse may sound appealing, building one to live in year-round comes with more challenges. However, a growing number of people are adopting this small-scale living approach to appreciate an off-the-grid, private lifestyle. It allows you to feel closer to nature in a sustainable, customizable, minimalist, and eco-friendly way.

The maximum size of a tiny home you can move depends on your state transportation guidelines, but the rule of thumb is a maximum of 400 square feet. However, as long as it falls within the local limits for traveling on public roadways, you should be good to hit the road.
