"Adam and gracie with ACâ s Heating and air were amazing! They installed new ductwork and vents along with running new 240v wire to an oven for us. They did great work, did it fast and were very affordable. We highly recommend and will use them again!"

"Kevin was great. Before he gave me a quote, he explained what 90% of the other companies do, which is just take off your vent covers and clean. This is exactly what the other companies explained to me when I was price shopping. Kevin does 200% more work then that. He actually cleaned out our heat unit itself. He is a bit more expensive, but he really earns it. You get what you pay for. I am so glad we splurged for this work, as it isn't something that you do every year, so you want as thorough a job as you can get, and Kevin provides just that. Would you rather have a carpet cleaning company who also does vent cleaning, or a specialist who just does this?"

"I was first impressed when the owner, Mr Rankin , answered the phone within 2 rings. After explaining what i was looking for , Mr Rankin explained in detail what his company could do as far as duct cleaning of my HVAC system. He was forthright and knowledgeable and answered all my questions regarding his company's reputation and experience. Immediately after our conversation he emailed me a very detailed quite and his company insurance documentation. My appointment was made., and he texted me the names of the technicians. They arrived on time, equipped with booties to wear thru out the house. The work performed took about 4 hours from start to finish. Mr Rankin's techs were extremely polite and very respectful . They also took their tome cleaning up after themselves. We have noticed an immediate improvement, so much so i was considering replacing HVAC unit before i met Mr Rankin. Now the unit is working as it should and my entire hone is very comfotable. I am so happy with the results and if you are considering getting your HVAC ductwork cleaned and sealed , I would highly recommend this company. Good to see great customer service. Thankyou to Mr Rankin and his team of professional technicians"

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Though it may seem redundant, you can absolutely have a central AC unit and a window AC in your home. In fact, if you place a window AC unit near your central air, it can help move the cooler air throughout your home. But doubling up on your AC methods can get pricey, so factor in cost accordingly.

For washable or electrostatic air conditioner filters, you can soak and rinse them with water. If you rinse the filter with water, make sure to use a faucet, shower head, or garden hose with a gentle water pressure setting, as strong water pressure could damage the filter.

But for disposable filters, water could ruin the filter, even allowing mold to grow in the filter. Instead, these filters should be replaced.

No, a furnace is not the same thing as an AC, or air conditioner, but these are both parts of an HVAC system. They both use air ducts to transport cool or hot air around your home to achieve a comfortable temperature set by your thermostat. An AC runs on electricity, while a furnace can use different fuel sources.

If your AC runs constantly, it could be due to a number of things, including a faulty thermostat, incorrect temperature settings, or broken equipment. Alternatively, you might have an airflow problem (for example, blocked vents or leaky ductwork). Either way, an HVAC pro can identify the specific problem and fix it for you.

There are several tell-tale signs that your AC coils need cleaning, including:

  • You’re getting higher electricity bills.

  • Your home doesn’t feel as cool as it usually does.

  • Your AC unit is running longer than usual to cool your home.

  • Your home is more humid than usual.

  • The coil is covered in frost while running.
