"The owner of the company Kevin and his crew arrived at 7:30AM sharp as promised. They got to work immediately. They provided all duct cleaning and sanitization as promised. They even open up my HVAC system to remove a dead squirrel that was the source of the odor in the house. They sanitized the HVAC system where the squirrel was found. They potentially may cost more but they do hands on work and worth the price."

"My AC unit went out on a Saturday morning, which was worrisome because our daughter’s room is in the sun and was like 90 degrees. I called Martin and he came over within an hour and fixed our unit. Extremely professional and fair pricing. I will always use Martin going forward and have recommended him to friends and family. 12/10"

"Dustin was very responsive as soon as I entered my request and continued to be very communicative and knowledgeable throughout replacing two fixtures and looking at some outlets. He did great work on what I needed him to do today and I am sure he would do the same on anything else I needed!"

"Had a new HVAC unit installed and they did a great job! George and his crew were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They arrived on time and cleaned up after themselves. The cost was reasonable. I’m very happy with their work and will definitely use them again if the need arises. I even recommended them to my 80 year old mom and she was very impressed as well. Mom and I highly recommend!"

"Technician was very good. I had to have it done in the evening because the person they were sending in the afternoon had not been vaccinated. Iâ m elderly and that would not have been safe."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

To keep your air conditioner in good working condition, you should have it serviced by a professional at least once per year, ideally in the spring before the cooling season begins. If your AC unit is 10 years or older, consider servicing it twice a year (once in the spring and once in the fall) to catch potential problems early and help it reach its full lifespan. During a service visit, a technician will inspect, clean, and replace parts as needed. Regular maintenance helps avoid costly repairs. As a DIY task, you can also clean the evaporator coils annually.

While an air conditioner can temporarily run with a dirty filter, it is not recommended as it will not work efficiently. A dirty filter forces the system to work harder to circulate cool air, leading to reduced airflow, increased wear and tear, and higher energy bills. This added strain can cause the air conditioner to overheat or fail prematurely. Furthermore, a clogged filter may allow dust and dirt to accumulate in your ductwork, negatively impacting air quality. It is more cost-effective to clean or replace filters regularly than to pay higher utility bills and risk needing to replace the entire AC unit.

A 3-ton AC unit is probably too big for a home that’s 1,200 square feet. If you have a 1,200-square-foot home, you likely need a unit that’s somewhere around 1.9 and 2 tons. An AC unit that’s too large will be really inefficient and cost you a lot of extra money on your bills.

It all depends on the unit’s SEER (seasonal energy efficiency ratio). A higher SEER rating means better efficiency and lower costs for your energy bills.

Take a look at the product you’re considering purchasing and compare it to other models to decide which one is affordable upfront but will keep your energy costs low over time.

No, for two very important reasons. First, it’s illegal to release refrigerant into the air or ground since it can be toxic and cause environmental damage. Technicians typically pump old or extra refrigerant into separate tanks for special disposal. Second, without professional equipment to read refrigerant pressure and levels, plus the AC’s suggested requirements, it’s impossible to know if you’ve removed the right amount of refrigerant. Stay away from a DIY solution here and seek an expert with the right tools.
