"Very good communicators. Always on time. They also painted the drywall ceiling they installed in my bathroom. Very quick service. Not sure if they take credit cards. Great folks to work with!"

"I used Rhone Construction for a fairly large drywall job and couldn't have been more pleased with the price and quality of work. Not only did they arrive on time and complete the job according to schedule, but they communicated well and left a clean jobsite. I totally trust Rhone to do a great job at a fair price, and will be using them again soon!"

"Stephen and his crew essentially did a custom apartment for me, in a partially finished basement. There was a large den/family room, small 3/4 bathroom and a 9' x 7' "office" between the two. Also, there were no existing closets. In the office, there was a door that opened under the stairwell, exposing access to some of the ductwork. Well, jackhammers to the rescue, & plumbing was run from that office, into the Bath, making a small kitchen feasible. Also, to fit cabinets in there, the office wall was moved 6", into the den area & I've got a very practical, albeit small kitchen. The shower was rather small, but the crew was able to extend it by one foot, due to lost space in the garage side, & a corner bench was installed & both it and the shower head are custom heights for me. On the den side (my l.r./bedroom), under the stairs, are 3 pull out closets, plus a cubby under the lower end, with that door on the office side, becoming my pantry! A craft Rm. was later added to garage, also."

"A home is the most expensive item a family is ever likely to purchase. And the purchasing of a twenty-year-old house is likely to be filled with even more expensive surprises. In January of 2022, we had our expensive surprise as a midnight torrential downpour left one giant swimming pool of a puddle in our backyard lanai. The next day, we secured some recommendations and M. Perez Pavers name kept coming up with positive reviews. We called that morning and, by 10 AM the following day, Ana and Mauricio were at our home inspecting the damage. Although we were expecting them to tell us that we needed to replace all of the pavers on the lanai (over 200 square feet) , we were pleasantly surprised (and relieved) when they told us that only the flooded section needed to be lifted (not replaced) and some sand had to be replaced and re-leveled so that rainwater would no longer accumulate in that one spot. We hired M. Perez Pavers immediately and after watching the crew work, were not disappointed. Ana and Mauricio treated our lanai as if it were their own. The process of lifting and leveling was done in a careful, clean, and methodical manner. Ana and Mauricio always communicated with us via telephone calls, texts and continually sent us daily updates. They put in full days of work for two days, stopping only to have lunch. And when they were done, they cleaned all debris, and power washed our lanai. In fact, we were so happy with their work, we hired M. Perez Pavers re-cement our driveway edges, which, due to twenty years of usage and weather conditions had cracked and weakened in many places along the edges of our driveway. Thanks to Mauricio and Ana, we now have a lanaiâ ¦ free of accumulating rainwater, repaired to allow it to last that way for many years to come. We certainly dodged the â proverbialâ bullet by hiring M. Perez Pavers. We enthusiastically recommend them to anyone who wants an honest assessment paver repair of lanais and driveways, followed by top rate repairs done by personable, proficient professionals. Drywall questions, answered by experts

If you want to reduce sound transmission throughout your home, soundproofing drywall is a better choice than standard drywall. However, simply installing soundproofing drywall may not completely block out noise. You’ll get the best results from incorporating it into a larger soundproofing plan that includes proper insulation and framing studs.

Textured walls can increase the value of your home if the style is modern and seen as a desirable feature and not something a prospective buyer would need to remedy. A good example of this is popcorn texture versus Venetian plaster. The plaster wall would add value to your home, whereas the popcorn texture may be something a new buyer would want to remove.

Beadboard is a decorative element and lacks the structural integrity of drywall. It cannot hold much weight and is not meant to be used as an insulator or moisture barrier, like drywall is. In almost all cases, beadboard is placed over an existing wall surface which, in modern days, is usually drywall, but decades ago could have been wood paneling.

Knowing what causes drywall damage can help stop it before it starts. Here are some of the most common causes of drywall damage:

  • Water damage from roof leaks or leaky pipes.

  • Small holes caused by doorknobs, minor accidents, and rodent infestations.

  • Wall dents stemming from moving furniture and minor accidents.

  • Wall cracks that form from a settling foundation or seismic activity.

  • Nail pops from nails and screws in the walls.

  • Large holes that are caused by accidents with heavy objects, children and pets, or sporting equipment.

Technically speaking, you can use drywall primer over plasters. However, oil-based primers work the most effectively on wall plasters. Meanwhile, water-based primers work just as well with drywalls. Nowadays, there are also universal primers suitable for drywall and plaster. Overall, you will be fine as long as you are using a trustworthy brand.
