"Jake and his crew did a fantastic job! I've used Advanced Lawn and Landscape for two jobs so far. They put up a fence in my front yard and re-did the drainage from my downspouts plus wrapping my foundation and installing footer drains. They are very professional and courteous. Every step of the process was explained along the way also. I will definitely be using them for future work."

"I think they treated the wrong lawn. The note they sent me via text message referenced trees and shrubs in my yard, I have none. They also did not leave a yard marker showing they had been there. Otherwise, this would have been a 5 star review."

Customers say: True professional

"Petey was very easy to work with. He was great with his follow up, came out as promised and kept in contact with me throughout the whole job. This was a big departure from a previous Angi experience. We were looking for an exterminator, and I was reviewing through the list when one morning, at 8am, two men showed up at my door. Normally that wouldn’t be an issue. However, we had just moved into the mountains of Tennessee and had my two elderly in laws living here. They were both frightened at the sight of two strangers. Anyway, the men said they were “from Terminex and had been sent out by there office.” Once I explained that, no, I had not hired any one, a call to their office confirmed that someone from Angi had told them that we had in fact hired Terminex. What was troubling was that no one from Angi told any ownership. They never apologized to Terminex or myself. It was your latest follow up that brought me back"

Lawns questions, answered by experts

To eliminate waste without polluting, consider whether it can be recycled, reused, or donated. However, hazardous waste, such as chemicals or electronics, requires special handling and disposal to prevent it from polluting landfills. Organic waste can be composted or converted into fuel at a biogas generation facility.

Strat decluttering for the holidays by removing trash and organizing items into different piles that you’ll keep, donate and toss out. Whatever you intend to keep, find a specific place for it, and if you buy something, get rid of an item that’s taking up space. Start small, go room-by-room, and don’t try to declutter all at once—doing so can get overwhelming.

Depending on the method you choose to remove grass, it may or may not matter whether the grass is wet or dry when you perform the task. A dryer lawn will be easier to negotiate with a sod cutter, especially if you're not planning to reuse the turf. However, using a shovel by hand might be a little easier if the ground is slightly damp but not so much that it sticks to the tool.

Dawn dish soap is typically too abrasive to use on plants, even when diluted with water. The soap contains detergents that can strip away a plant's natural waxes and oils, which are there to protect the leaves.

Should you decide to make your own soap spray insecticide, it's important to choose a gentle soap that doesn't contain detergents or surfactants. Castile soap, such as Dr. Bronner’s, is a good pick.

Digging a bush up by the roots is the most natural DIY method for removing a bush stump. Start by identifying the shrub type and revealing its roots. Cut the shrub to its base and loosen the soil, ensuring no utility lines are nearby. Optionally, treat the base with herbicide, then dig around the roots and cut a circle around the shrub using various tools. Dig a trench, cut the base of the root ball, and finally fill the hole to prevent regrowth. This thorough process ensures complete removal without damaging surrounding areas.
