Small jobs welcome

"Steve and Jim were on time, their work was extremely professional, knowledgeable; and took great care to not disturb or damage my home and property. They dropped the tree, removed the wood and debris and cleaned the area with great care. I've had other tree people before, but Better Tree Service did outstanding work. I WILL contract with them again when needed."

"Tyler came out early, assessed the situation, offered a great price, and took the tree down the same morning, which happened to be the windest day of the year so far in 2023. He may have saved my neighbor's house or life. Thank you Tyler, and I will definitely be seeking your services again. Highly recommend."

He's the guy I'll be calling from now on. My last guy would have charged anywhere from $100 to $500, but this guy was honest, affordable, and got the job done without overcharging. I highly recommend him!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Costs range from $500 to $5,000 per tree, depending on size, location, and accessibility.

Palm trees aren’t much different than your typical tree removal. Removing a palm tree is a standard procedure as long as pros have the proper tools and supplies. For DIYers, however, there are some risks associated with palm tree removal. Palm trees have spiky fronds, bark, and patches of hefty wood. So, it’s best to let an experienced tree service pro remove a palm tree.

Stump grinding consists of removing the visible part of the stump, but the roots remain intact. Depending on the tree and root system, the roots may still grow after stump grinding. If you are concerned about root growth and damage, you may want to consider having a stump removed completely.

Before you cut down a dead palm tree, try to revive it using the methods listed above. However, there are instances when it makes sense to remove a dead palm tree, including:

  • The heavily infected tree will infect nearby trees, bushes, and plants.

  • The palm’s roots are overtaking your yard, foundation, and sidewalk and causing structural damage.

  • The tree is unstable and a hazard to your property, your neighbor’s property, and pedestrians.

For Bradford pears, damage from storms is common, and if the trunk splits, it can pose a danger to people and surrounding structures. The best thing to do in that instance is to have the tree removed. If there’s only minor damage to the branches, pruning away the damaged parts is the first order of business. You may also want to consult a professional arborist to make sure the tree is healthy.
