"On time for Thursday appointment. Explained what needed to be done to repair and replace as needed in order to accomplish a plan that worked for me. Work began Friday morning, on time. My fence was damaged previously by tornado damage, trees crushed fence to the ground in some areas and entire area was grown up with shrubs ,weeds , trees , and damaged top rails caused by my horse reaching over the fence . They removed damaged fencing and taller fence installed to keep my horse from pushing fence down. They repaired my large gates and replaced some top rails on fence around my home. They worked with me by making repairs when possible. They also cleared some brush from around my fence and kept me informed on everything they did. Knowledgeable, friendly, and great work. Fair price."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Fencing in Clarksville requires regular maintenance because of humidity, storms, and shifting clay soil. Wood fences should be checked for rot, resealed, and monitored for insect damage. Vinyl fencing benefits from periodic cleaning to prevent mildew. Metal fences need rust inspections and hinge lubrication. After storms, inspect for loose posts or panels, especially in areas with dense vegetation or near wildlife paths.

Helpful?

Your Clarksville home is a strong candidate for a fencing project if you have well-marked property boundaries, manageable slopes, and no utility lines or easements in the planned area. Adequate drainage is important due to the region’s clay soil, which can shift after heavy rain. Consider neighborhood trends, local wildlife concerns, HOA rules, and your privacy or pet containment needs before starting your project.

Helpful?

Installing fencing in Clarksville can enhance your home’s value and attract buyers, especially families and pet owners seeking privacy fencing or secure yards. Well-designed fences that match neighborhood styles are particularly appealing. Pool fencing is required for safety, which adds to resale appeal. Avoid over-fencing, as excessive barriers can reduce curb appeal and make your property feel less inviting.

Helpful?

Clarksville’s humid subtropical climate brings frequent rain, high humidity, and temperature swings that can affect fencing materials and installation. Spring and fall are ideal for building due to milder weather, while summer heat and winter freezes may slow work. Moisture can cause wood rot and metal corrosion, so select weather-resistant materials and ensure your fence design allows for proper drainage.

Helpful?

Most fencing projects in Clarksville are completed within 2 to 7 days, depending on yard size, terrain, and fence type. Full perimeter or custom designs may take up to two weeks. Clay soil, weather delays, and permit approvals can extend timelines. During peak spring and early summer, contractors may be booked in advance, so plan ahead and allow extra time for scheduling and project completion.
