Very professional and excellent work. Went above and beyond to make sure the work was completed at 100%. No short cuts taken. Was patient with all our questions and requests. Looks like a new house.

They removed the door and c replaced with a new one. Before they put the frame they realized that sheet rock needs replacement and they said they cannot put the frame and then remove it again to fix the sheet rock. They said they will come back in Thursday. The owner texted me acting 240p when I contacted him asking what time they will be here to finish the job. He said he is coming himself to make sure the job is properly done. I didn’t hear from them until around 5:43pm he said he was caught in traffic and will arrive around 7pm and I told them it’s too late because I was going to sleep because I have to go to work tomorrow. That’s when I texted him that he should have told me earlier that they are going bit be late. That’s when we started exchanging texts which I posted on the website. I told him that that’s not right to do that to a customer. He said that I can keep the door and send me $20 for the frame. I paid him $700 for a $750 job and the job is not finished. Putting the shed rock he had said it will be extra $100 to make it $850 and he wanted all the money on Monday and I refused to pay all of it because I was afraid they might not come back and which I am now realizing that that’s what happened.

Frank did a good job overall. My concern was how long it took. He stated 2-2.5 days took nearly 8 days. Some days he had other obligations and didn’t show.

I am really happy with everything. They did. They came in and fixed problems someone else left unfinished and made it a billion time better. They also patched up walls after we had some plumbing problems and got them looking great and made us a crawl space door that looks so much better than it originally did. Franks was very easy to get a hold of and was communicating very effectively. He was eager to make sure we were happy.

Fence went up without any problems and it is beautiful. Just what I wanted. The guys were very nice and on time for the work. I would definitely recommend them if you need a privacy fence. I will be hiring them again for another job. Great work and I am so happy with my new fence!!!!

They took my deposit, then ghosted me. I'm now in the process of trying to recover my deposit. He never confirmed a date beyond an initial estimated date. The company never returned my calls, occasionally responded with a text but even that was after multiple calls and texts.

Frank gave me a quote for building roof over my patio in SEPT 2022, we did a contract and paid him 50% two weeks before the work start date. A day before starting work Frank sent a message about family emergency and since then he hasn’t given a call back. For first three weeks he sent messages saying he will be back in town and will get my work done. It’s been more than 2 months since he took advance. He hasn’t returned any calls, no reply to messages for last 3 weeks. So no work done for last two months and I don’t see any prospects of getting it done.

Frank is very nice gentleman and showed great patience with my questions and frustrations. The original plans called for concrete patio, but with the Tennessee weather, the rain had other ideas. Ultimately we installed a 16x16 ground floor deck and a 6x4 deck leading up to sliding door. The demo, build, and finishing took three days. The work was high quality and they cleaned up the site well. I have other projects I need to have done around the house and Frank found a return customer. Thanks Frank!!

They were very fast, accommodating and did a great job on the painting of deck, doors, door frames and front railings. I added items after they arrived and they happily completed the work. Very friendly and great to work with!

When Frank gave me a quote for my fence, I felt it was very fair. The gates didn’t change the price by much. When he realized later in the process he gave me a credit. I was nervous seeing the fence go up and worried he might not finish the last bit, but he did and he did a great job. My only criticism of frank is that he should provide a more realistic schedule that accounts for the heat and tricky labor market, but the quality of the finished product was well worth the wait. The design was super simple and without any weird fringes, all the edges lined up in a nice way, and I was pleAsed with all the little design decisions that Frank made along the way. Frank was honest, polite, knowledgeable, responsive and a good communicator and fair negotiator. I will use him in the future for other types of projects, but I can vouch for him…he knows how to make a very solid, sturdy, fence and make good decisions as to how the fence fits into the site. I highly recommend Frank Lupo at A Step Above Construction. He was also considerate about noise and cleanliness.
