It’s located behind the walls, but if you have an unfinished basement or a utility closet, you may find a portion of it running the vertical length of the space. Some basement toilets use an air admittance valve instead, which is a small vent located in the wall directly behind the toilet that extends upward a few feet from the drain.

Wall-mounted faucets aren’t more difficult to fix than traditional ones, but plumbing problems will complicate your repair. If your plumber needs to access the plumbing lines, they’ll have to open up the wall in your bathroom or kitchen. So once they finish fixing the issues, like a leak, you’ll need to pay extra for drywall repairs.

There are few things more annoying than trying to fall asleep only to be woken up by the sound of a dripping faucet. If the faucet drips when the water is off, it probably has a loose or damaged seat washer. The screw gets loose from repeated use, making the faucet drip. With outdoor faucets, this is more common in the summer when people are using it more often to water the garden or cool off. Disassembling the faucet and tightening or replacing the seat washer and screw can get the dripping to stop.
