"Midwestern Mechanical did an outstanding job. Trigg especially. He was professional, knowledgeable and honest. Where competitors pushed and used scare tactics on seniors to totally replace the whole heating and A/C unit instead of replacing a fan, housing motor.. competitor said they couldnt find the parts. That it could take 3 months to get Saying this during 90 degree weather. Midwestern Mechanical came in instantly found the problem, got the parts needed, and had it fixed . In four hours they had our A/C working like a charm. It cost us 900.00 compared to close to 10,000.00. Midwestern Mechanical has a loyal customer from here on in. The life of a shower cartridge depends on the valve type and materials, frequency of shower use, hardness of the water, and the installation process. Brass cartridges can last up to 20 years, while those with plastic components may only last 4 or 5 years. You can replace shower cartridges with plastic components when replacing the showerhead as part of a regular replacement schedule. With a brass model, every 15 years is a good standard to follow.

You can temporarily patch a leaking copper pipe using epoxy putty or adhesive tape. These are not permanent solutions, and you will eventually need to remove and replace the damaged portion of the pipe.
