"I would highly recommend this business.  We had them come and restain the deck and at first just powerwash the house.  They scheduled the work right away.  After doing the pressure washing, there were some areas with paint chips under the soffit.  Mike offered to repaint those for free.  During this, they noticed areas of the soffit that were rotten, so we had them repair those areas of the wood.  They also fixed a few screens that were damaged during the pressure washing for free.
Everything turned out great, and we are very happy we had this work done.  Mike and Crystal are very professional and easy to work with.  I will be having them do some more work on our house in the near future.

"Great Job! On time for initial appointments, promptly returned phone calls and e-mails. Loving our new roof! The guys did a great job in a timely manner and clean up was very good. Our Dish Satellite had to be re-set by Dish but Steve has offered to reimburse us for it. Would definitely recommend this company."

"We bought a house built in 1995 two years ago which needed to be updated.  I hired Carolina Professional Painters after terminating the services of another painter.  Mr. Vazquez came out to my home, was prompt, professional and gave me a fair price. I first had him finish the parts of the interior that the previous painter had not done. What a difference! The crew was very professional, here to work and respectful of my property. My house has high ceilings and heavy trim including several sets of interior French doors (very labor intensive due to all the detail). Mr. Vazquez usually uses Sherwin Williams which is a great paint, but since the job had been started with Benjamin Moore paint, I wanted to continue using the same products. I opened a ticket at the local Benjamin Moore store and Mr. Vazquez would pick up the paint as needed. (Because I paid for the paint separately, the cost of service is for labor only). He also had to patch a few holes in the drywall and you can't even tell. The crew did a wonderful job and worked very quickly. After they finished the first job, I had him quote fixing some of the problems that had been created by the previous painter as well as additional work such as the back deck. They were scheduled to come in mid May for four days. On the first day they were in my home, I had a death in the family and had to go out of town. My husband let the crew in every morning before he went to work for the rest of the job. Everything went great! They even had to move our belongings around and empty a couple of closets to paint as well. Again, they did a wonderful job. The house looks so beautiful!  I still need to renovate our kitchen, master bath and laundry room. Once that is complete, I will be calling Carolina Professional Painters to paint those rooms as well.

Drywall questions, answered by experts

You should not leave drywall outside, especially overnight or in a wet, humid climate. Exposure to rain and humidity can damage the drywall, weakening its structural integrity and making it susceptible to mold growth. If you must leave drywall outside during a project, be sure to cover it with a tarp or keep it inside a storage shed to protect it. Even drywall intended for exterior projects requires a protective moisture barrier. For best results, store any extra drywall in a dry area away from the elements.

If you’re looking for a reliable plaster repair company, you should start by researching local companies in your area and reviewing their status with the Better Business Bureau. Next, you can contact the potential companies to ask about experience levels, get a list of references, and ask for examples of past work. If you have a textured wall, consider asking if they have examples or references for that particular texture. This method should help you narrow your search even further. You may also want to ask each company if they provide a warranty for their work.

Regularly in areas prone to moisture or high traffic to catch issues early.

Plaster is a beautiful finish but is labor-intensive to install and remove. It’s vulnerable to cracking and more sensitive to moisture variance than drywall. Installing plaster on a new wall is an expensive process that can take days to weeks, depending on the scope. Removing a plaster wall can also be quite expensive and time-consuming.

Whether a drywall anchor can be reused depends on its material, type, and the method of removal. Plastic anchors, including expansion and self-drilling types, are generally designed for single use as they tend to break or deform upon removal. Metal anchors, such as toggle bolts, are more durable and may be reusable if they are not damaged during extraction. However, with toggle bolts, the toggle piece can fall into the wall cavity when the bolt is removed, making it difficult to retrieve. If an anchor is damaged during removal, for instance by having its head cut off, it cannot be reused regardless of the material.
