"Polite contractor who responded to the request on Angi quickly; covered the hardware on the fence; cleaned up afterwards. I did see a tiny bit of overspray in one spot on my vinyl siding even though they used heavy paper to shield. It was a bit windy. However, a Mr Clean Magic Eraser took it right off with one wipe."

"I was very pleased on how this all went. After several attempts to get estimates from other painters who never came through, I found Fresh Coat on Angie’s List. They came out as promised to look at my house and I had a written estimate within days. Everything was spelled out on the contract and any questions I had were promptly answered. The owner, Jimmy comes out on the day the work starts and goes over everything again to make sure all is in order. They take their time with the prep and the painters came every day until the work was finished. Jimmy then comes out again to walk around to make sure everything is done correctly. Drywalling a garage is a smart decision if you want to protect your garage from fires, moisture damage, and exterior noise. Most garages have flammable supplies that could result in serious damage in the off chance of an accident. Drywall is fire resistant, helping to prevent fires from spreading. This depends on how much plaster is applied and in how many layers, but a decent estimate is around 150 square feet. Choose a drill bit that is the size of the screws of the anchors you will use. You aren’t drilling through metal or concrete—hopefully—so any standard twist, wooden or all-purpose drill bit will work fine. It’s also important to have a screwdriver capable of drilling through the drywall and into the stud. The good news is most available drills, even the older ones, can do this with no issue.

The easiest way to remove texture from walls is the soak-and-scrape method. You’ll need to spray a section of the wall with water and let the water soak in and soften the texture. Then, you need to scrape the texture off using a drywall taping knife. This method works best with unpainted walls since paint prevents water from saturating the textured joint compound.

It’s always better to follow proven drywall repair tips and fix the seams that look bad. However, if you simply want to make them less noticeable until you have time to fix them, you can use paint. A darker color of paint makes bad drywall tape seams less noticeable than light-colored paint. Matte paint hides bad seams better than glossy paint does, too.
