"From beginning to end, we were incredibly impressed with Crawlspaces and More. They were the fourth company we interviewed for the project, and were very knowledgeable and thorough. They addressed all concerns and questions no matter how small. I felt that they truly wanted what was best for me as the customer and stand behind their work."

"This past January (2021) my wife and I purchased an old farmhouse constructed in 1930. Most of the foundation including the perimeter sills, joyce supports, and central foundation beams were riddled with termite damage that had accumulated over decades of time (and neglect). Most of the subfloors were rotted as well. The piers holding up the floor supports in the crawlspace were in disrepair and in some cases falling apart. Prior to purchasing this house we contacted several foundation reconstruction services to assess the damage and recommend needed repairs. In essence, our testimony here completes a circle that began when we consulted Angie's list in search of foundation specialists back in January. Angie's list is how we found Uneven Floor Solutions and now we are adding our story to the other outstanding testimonies present on this website list. Impressed by the praise earned by this company, we contacted Masle Francisco Gamez (owner) and asked him for a bid. He visited the property and spent a considerable amount of time crawling around underneath the house assessing the damage and identifying the estimated costs of repairing the foundation. Based on information supplied by Masle we gained the confidence to purchase this house and to contract his company for the work. In effect, the house would be lifted up above the old foundation and replaced with all new treated lumber. The foundation piers were likewise removed and replaced with adjustable steel jack stands. The work was estimated to take two weeks and all work was finished on time. The rotted wood filled an entire refuge dumpster and was packed to the brim with rotted wood removed from under our house. We also asked the company to remove two sections of wall and to build two new entryways into the kitchen and living room. Masle and his crew were efficient and confident in their work and we are very satisfied with the strength of the foundation and the expectation that our house will serve us nicely for many decades to come. I would be glad to provide further testimony if needed but potential customers should be confident that Uneven Floor company will provide an excellent job for a competitive price. KWS"

"A great company with a very experienced crew.. JD got us exactly what we wanted. They poured a 2ft by 70 plus foot wall and used the colored concrete to create an awesome texture that blew me away. We also had a 20 ft by 13ft patio poured, stamped, using colored concrete. Everything came out beyond our expectations . I would highly recommend this company that wants a quality job at a very competitive cost."

"I hired Foothills Construction to remodel my bathroom after getting quotes from many other companies. They offered the best price and I figured why not I’ll give them a shot and turns out it was the best choice I could have made. They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my new bathroom, even going so far as to work right up to, and right after Christmas to get the whole project done in only four days. The room is pretty small but that seems like a super great timeline to me since a lot of other people said it would take them weeks. This is my ONLY bathroom so this was important. I had everything replaced, tub, floors, vanity and shower surround and they made it all work at a great price AND super fast. They were also always respectful while in my home and made sure to clean up after themselves even though I told them not to worry about it. Never late once either and I’ve had a lot of service people working on my house over the years and they’re almost always late or sometimes don’t show, so this was really appreciated. I can’t count the number of trips they made to get extra supplies to make adjustments and never charged me extra. I had a pretty complex shower surround (that I picked out myself, they did not) and the end result is really beautiful. I’m very pleased with my bathroom, I’d recommend them to anyone and hope to hire them again to work on other projects."

Masonry questions, answered by experts

In Simpsonville, avoid using high-pressure washers or harsh chemicals on brick or stone, as these can erode mortar. Keep gutters and downspouts clear to prevent water from pooling near masonry walls, and don’t let plants or vines grow directly on surfaces. Storing items against exterior walls or blocking weep holes can trap moisture, leading to premature deterioration in SC’s humid environment.

Helpful?

In Simpsonville, ensure all scaffolding is secure and level, especially on clay soil, and use proper fall protection for elevated work. Wear eye and respiratory protection when cutting or mixing mortar, as dust can be an issue in SC’s humid climate. Monitor for sudden weather changes, as summer storms are frequent, and take care to protect landscaping and nearby structures during the project.

Helpful?

Before starting masonry work in Simpsonville, check if affected walls contain electrical wiring, plumbing, or HVAC vents, as repairs could disrupt these systems. In older homes, utilities are often embedded in masonry, so careful inspection is important. Also, consider how changes to exterior walls may impact insulation or moisture barriers, which can affect your home’s energy efficiency and indoor comfort.

Helpful?

In Simpsonville, masonry work is likely needed if you notice horizontal or stair-step cracks wider than 1/4 inch, crumbling mortar joints, bulging brick walls, or white powdery residue on surfaces. These issues are often worsened by the area’s humid summers and clay-rich soil. If you see only minor hairline cracks or peeling paint, the problem may not require masonry repairs.

Helpful?

Homes in Simpsonville with brick, stone, or block exteriors showing localized damage—such as cracked mortar or loose bricks—are strong candidates for masonry work. If your foundation remains stable and the underlying structure is solid, repairs can be effective. However, if you see widespread wall movement or significant settling, more extensive structural evaluation may be necessary before proceeding with masonry repairs.
