Freeman Repair and Remodel was very professional from start to finish. From the initial consultation wherein we discussed and finalized an overall design/construction plan to the final execution, Derek and his team came every morning and worked all day until the project was complete. I would hire them again in an instant

Roger and his crew at Quality Granite did a fantastic job replacing the counter tops in the kitchen and master bath. Roger made all of his appointments on time. His measurements and cuts were perfect. His crew cleaned up after the work. He also gave fair pricing and there were no hidden charges. I have recommended Quality Granite to many of my friends. We are VERY happy with the work Roger did for us

I can't say enough good things about Derek and his crew. They do great work, and are a pleasure to work with. They took my project on from a prior contractor fail, and finished up the project on time, and I couldn't be happier. The big keys are trust, communication, and great work. Derek hits it on all three

Mike and his team are very professional and came in within budget and on time. They were always there when they said they would be, and quickly responded to questions we had. Mike helped us not only in the construction but also in the design of the project. He considered things we had not thought about and the project turned out better than we could have imagined. Mike's team was a pleasure to have around

This was a large project for us, and we definitely slowed them down more than they did us (by taking time to make our choices and decisions and by adding a few things to the job). They were always accommodating and helpful. Their prices were not the cheapest, but they were always fair and reasonable, and there was never any sense that they were trying to pad the job in any way. We were not as clear as we should have been in the beginning about whose responsibility it would be to pay for repairing the sheet rock on the ceiling in the kitchen after changing out the lights, but I think that was our fault, not Mike's. Always in a job like this, there are repairs that need to be made that weren't anticipated in the bid and original plan, but they were all handled in a fair and timely way. The crews did quality work and we felt very comfortable having them in our home. Mike and Logan did a great job of making sure any problems were corrected and the job was completed to our satisfaction. All in all, a very professional job, a pleasure to deal with, and we would definitely hire them again if we need any more work done

We had massive water damage underneath our house, due to poorly-installed HVAC ducts that had been sweating against our subfloors for several years. Insurance was a largely a no-go, since it was condensation related, so budget was a big factor. Still, I was insistent that the job be done right. I bid the job out to about five or six companies and selected Commonwealth for a couple of reasons. First, Mike's recommendations included no short cuts. He did not suggest that we could lower costs by making compromises here or there -- he said, to do it right, here's what we have to do. Second, he was scrupulously honest. When we were talking about possible insurance claims, he made it clear that he would not misrepresent the extent or cause of the damage in order to get a larger claim. This was critically important to me; anyone willing to cheat an insurance company wouldn't think twice about cheating me. Basically, we went down to dirt in parts of the house and had to rebuild from the ground up. The biggest part of the job was in the kitchen, which had to be completely demolished and rebuilt. When Mike's original kitchen guy came in to high, he found another one that was able to work within our budget and did beautiful work. We took advantage of the opportunity to knock a wall out of our galley kitchen and replace it with a really big granite peninsula. It completely changed the entire space. I wish I'd done it years ago. All of his subs were fantastic. We stayed in the house during the entirety of the project, which was probably 3.5 months (not sure I'd do that again), and they all left the site very clean every day, even sealing up the holes in the subfloor with plywood. The only sub I was not 100 percent happy with was his floor guys, who I think finished the floors in sections rather than all at once, but Mike sent them back and insisted that they would keep coming back until I was satisfied. The job took a good bit longer than we originally projected, but this job seemed to grow as we went along. At one point, we discovered a roof leak that we decided meant a new roof, which Mike was able to do at a rate that was right in line with others to whom I'd bid the job. Bottom line, Commonwealth did a super job. Honest, good work ethic, no shortcuts, high quality -- the job will be done right, at a competitive rate. We were very satisfied. For the first time in a long time, I can sleep at night knowing that our home is on good solid ground. I'd use them again in a heartbeat

The contractor responded to my initial voicemail message within one day's time. We met the following day on site, discussed and scoped the job, our needs and wants, and scheduling. The contractor sent a detailed proposal with a price breakdown by email the following day, which we accepted. We advised him that we were agreeable to starting the job sooner than planned if his schedule permitted. This proved to be the case, and work was started about a week early. The job was completed in four working days, by two workers. The contractor/owner visited the jobsite at least three times, and met with us one time at a builder's supply store to select and pick up materials. His workers were polite, agreeable, and willing to discuss progress and minor decision details on the job. (We mostly left them alone to work.) They laid heavy paper in the approaching hallways at the start, to protect flooring and carpet. Disruption and noise were absolutely minimal considering the nature of the work. The overall job cost was reduced somewhat by our selection of less costly materials based on "allowances" for tile, cabinets, countertop and sink agreed to in the contract, and duly noted and adjusted by the contractor. This was the first contract work on our home that we have had performed in over twenty years. We found the experience to be satisfactory, and believe that we got good service for our money. The contractor/owner gave a good explanation of the work and materials required to do the job, and proposed a reasonable price. We would not hesitate to contract for his services again. We have asked him to provide estimates for more jobs planned for the future (roofing, floor insulation, and underhouse vapor barrier.

"Derek was a pleasure to work with and we are very pleased with the results. He listened to what we wanted, made suggestions when we weren't sure, and adapted as we went along. Work was done well, on time and on budget, with good communication along the way as we were not present most of the time. We would gladly work with him and his team again in the future.

"It's been a year since we had our bathroom renovation, but these guys did a superior job for a LOT less than one of their competitor's estimate to do the same work. A friend has used them over the years and gave us a referral, so, after a reasonable estimate, we had them do a bathroom renovation. In a previous home, we'd had another contractor do a bathroom renovation and it drug on for weeks due to the unavailability of sub-contractor/vendors. It was a mini-nightmare. Done-Rite was the opposite of that. Joe and his brother Dan were a pleasure to deal with, and everything went very smoothly. After the estimate was done, I asked if it was possible to see a previous job he had done and talk with that homeowner. Joe contacted a homeowner he had done a recent reno for and arranged a visit. It looked outstanding and the homeowners were quite pleased. Once we signed on, work was steady and completed in a very timely manner. There were a couple of "quality" issues along the way, but when I alerted Joe to them, he had the vendors take care of them. I would not hesitate to use them again and have recommended them to friends. If there is one issue they could improve on, it would be initial contact. We'd left messages that we wanted an appraisal for the reno, but it took our friend that recommended them contacting him to get things going. And a friend we recommended him to went through the same thing. We had to let Joe know we'd put them onto him. But, once they got in touch with us, everything went great. People showed when they were supposed to show and the renovation was very nicely done. And Joe and Dan couldn't be any easier to work with. I wouldn't even seek competitive estimates on future jobs.
