"Highly recommend! Prompt, professional and a true animal lover. Darian removed a raccoon and her 4 kits from our garage. This was a good opportunity to seal the vents under our house and Darian did that as well. Good website. Gives notification via text when arriving etc. very professional and a true animal lover. He came highly recommended to us."

"The folks at Metro Wildlife and Pest Control are true professionals. We had problems with bats in the eaves of our home. This was a new experience for us. Luckily, the folks at Metro Wildlife have seen this situation MANY times with other customers in the past. They knew exactly what to do and how long it would take to rid our home from further bat visits. I've recommended Metro Wildlife to all my neighbors and friends. They do what they advertise. And they were tremendously professional and diligent as they performed their work in our home. My overall rating is a 5 star EXCELLENT rating!! Thank you all for your terrific work."

At Cypress Pest Management it is our mission to be the standard of excellence for the pest control industry in the Charleston area through commitment to principles and by building long lasting, quality relationships within our community.

"No wonder reviews are so old. Do not use this sham of a company. I’ve treated my own home for years. Finally I thought, well maybe a company could do better than me (I had minor bugs mostly from windows and doors I leave open). After the first treatment with Cypress, I saw small bugs more frequently. After the second, I’ve had large palmetto bugs (aka roaches)drop in front of me. I’ve seen them dead in the morning, good, but these an alive and well. I thought it might just be bugs from treatment the first time. Now I am thinking they spray nothing but water. My house is clean and neat, I also have a cleaning crew twice a month. So I’d consider using a more reputable and professional company before using this company. This is horrible and not any business I want to be associated with."

"The price they quoted was way better than everyone else that gave us a quote. He was able to come the same day I called him and he did treat both inside and outside for our issue. We were so pleased that we went ahead with a quarterly service with this company."

Animal Removal questions, answered by experts

In certain cases, yes, the bees may go away on their own, but it’s a risk. Some bee types, such as bumblebees, create seasonal nests and then die out as their new queens seek homes elsewhere. But in most cases, you can’t count on the bees leaving naturally. It’s also not a great idea to leave openings in your walls any longer than you have to, which can attract other pests or cause moisture damage.

Look for consistent buzzing sounds, visible hives, or increased bee activity around your property.

You should never try to remove a bee's nest yourself because it can be extremely dangerous. The amount of bees that can live in a hive depends on the type of bee, but honey bees can have up to 80,000 bees living in a hive. People who are allergic to bees can have life-threatening reactions from a single sting. So, it's best to leave bee nest removal to the professionals who have the knowledge and equipment to do so safely.

DIY animal removal is rarely a good idea and is not advised for many reasons. First, these types of animals can carry diseases and, therefore, pose a health risk to you, your family, and your pets if mishandled. Second, depending on your city or municipality, it may be illegal to remove or handle wildlife yourself.

Sealing your home against these animals yourself is also a bad idea. Trapping an animal under your house will cause odor and insect problems when it passes away.

Honey bees are most likely to swarm during spring and early summer, typically from April through June, as colonies expand and prepare for new growth. Swarming occurs when a hive becomes overcrowded, prompting the queen and a group of worker bees to leave in search of a new nesting site. During this time, you may notice a temporary increase in bee activity around your property.
