Recently, friends and I have agreed the practice has declined in care and service. *I have tried to address these issues with the clinic* by email, feedback surveys, and attempting to reach out to the manager who doesn’t have a direct phone/email. Clients need to be aware they are not taking action to improve. In summary: they provided few answers/options and *no follow up* when instructed to euthanize my pet. I agree it was getting to be time, but I’ve never felt so alone making that decision. With a new vet, I was given support and ability to provide 2 more months with supportive care. Since leaving WAVC, I've discovered one of my other senior pets is in congestive heart failure. The new vet said "they were surprised" she was given a clean bill of health 3 months prior. To be fair, this could have been a fluke, but given repeated issues, I’m unsure. During other appointments: they returned my pet in the carrier covered in urine and repeatedly misnamed my pets to the point I thought they were going to give the wrong medications at a dual appointment. My pets are my family and they deserve better care than West Ashely Veterinarian Clinic. I hope upon seeing this review they finally take action to correct their insufficiencies for the sake of their current clients.

This is a wonderful clinic. They have separated areas for dogs and cats, and do quite a lot to reduce animals' stress. They have pheromone pads for the animals to rest on. The staff are all very kind and compassionate. The vets have always explained everything to me fully, and answered any questions I have had. Location is convenient on a major road, plenty of parking. Highest recommendation.

My pets have gotten most of their medical care here. The vets are very knowledgeable and pet savvy. I have tried several other vets in the past to save money but always come back here in the end. You will get excellent care with this group. It is not cheap but is worth it.

I love these vets and their services.

I have been going to them for forever. They are great.

I have also used their groomer next door. The veterinarians are very thorough, and they will investigate and consider all the options and treat seriously. When I take my pet there, it is like taking my child to the doctor. They are extremely professional. One of my dogs had an issue and she kept getting it, and they were the ones who figured out what was going on. I left another veterinarian because he could not give me a good explanation. When I switched to this group, they were able to explain what was going on. They were able to give me something to do at home to avoid surgery. They are very good like that. Veterinarians are expensive. The price that I paid here last time included the grooming and so that was a good price. I really haven't shopped that much. I cannot beat the price of their grooming; and it helps to balance it out and it is so reasonable. From the veterinarian side, they are competitive in terms of whatever is the going price in the area and they are conscious of being competitive. They are very punctual and all of the entire staff is extremely professional. They are about the most professional group that I have encountered.

I have used this vet for almost six years. They are wonderful, caring, and helpful. They have diagnosed my dog several times correctly and are a real benefit to have.

The staff was very welcoming, and caring, the vet we saw (Dr. Ford) was great! They found that he had a yeast infection in his eye and that his ears were inflammed (possibly contributing to his scratching). They prescribed some antibiotics that were reasonably priced, and I purchased 6 months of Heartworn prevention for a grand total all together of $116 (the exam alone was $48). We will continue to use this clinic.
