"After Hurricane Helene the pressed board siding around our fireplace chimney was in bad shape. Adding to that was the fact the roofers who replaced our roof afterwards did not install proper flashing on our garage (which contacts the chimney) and it exacerbated the situation. Pressed board was peeling away from the structure, warped, and expanded from water intrusion and a number of areas. We wanted to replace the entire exterior of the chimney with Hardie Board and have any of the water damaged under layers replaced with OSB and have the entire structure wrapped. We received a number of competitive estimates, but the estimate from Umbrella was by far the lowest and included more work than the others. The owner, Eduardo, is knowledgeable, experienced, and very professional. He assured us that he could have all of the work done to proper standard and completed within 48 hours. We were not disappointed. His team of workers were quick, efficient, and hard-working. Thanks Umbrella!"

"What an incredible experience. Contacted them for siding consult, Chris from sales was very knowledgeable and easy to talk with. Gave us great recommendations for the design. We signed up and wow the siding was here in less than 10 days. The installers, Led by Daniel were incredible. They were courteous, friendly, neat and they were fast! You could see pride of work as they were doing the project. They were also on time each day, were there when they said they would be. AJ our project manager was awesome as well..Communicated frequently so we always knew what to expect. We are thrilled with our new home, siding is beautiful, this team is stellar! If we could give a 100 rating we would!"

"Working with Capital Palmetto Builders on the construction of vinyl siding, soffit, and fascia on my West Columbia, South Carolina home was a delight lately. My house has undergone a whole makeover from its days as a worn-out wood paneling and carpenter bee damage victim. My home looks more current and updated thanks to Alex and his crew, who also helped to ease my condition. The crew was really courteous to my property, on time, and very professional. They made sure everything was done to my liking and cleaned up the area after they finished. The whole look of my house has been much improved by the attention to detail, particularly around the soffits and fascia. The endeavor was made much more valuable by the substantial discount they provided. I am really happy with the outcome and heartily suggest Capital Palmetto Builders to anybody in need of excellent home remodeling services. Many thanks to Capital Palmetto Builders for completely remodeling my house! Visit Capital Palmetto Builders for further information about their staff and services."

"I had a single piece of vinyl siding blow off the back of my house. Every other contractor told me the entire side would need to be replaced, but Gary was different. He reached out the same day I submitted my request and came by within a few hours to take a look. He was upfront that matching my older siding might be tricky, but promised to try. The next day, he returned with what he needed and completed the repair quickly and professionally. I know it took some effort to track down a matching piece, but Gary went the extra mile when no one else would. Excellent experience overall — I’ll definitely be calling him for future projects. If you’re in the Summit area of Columbia, Gary is your guy!"

"Really impressed with my new roof- going to choose Mighty Dog for new siding in the fall!"

"Greg Martin is an excellent contractor/manager. He, his employees and his subcontractors maintained a smoke free, cuss-free presence. The quality of his crew's work was well above average to exceptional. Greg is an excellent communicator and throughout the four week renovation located many items that while not part of the stated contract did meet the stated goals of an inclusive renovation and correction of all discovered faults. His advice was sound and he would include alternatives that met the goals I had described. This renovation was of a 1,394 SF ranch home built in 1970 that had a partial renovation in 2004. All drywall was smoothed and imperfections removed. Areas with paneling were removed and replaced with drywall. Ceilings were scraped as needed and all walls and ceilings were first sealed then repainted in three coats and ceiling "popcorn" was applied for a uniform finish. All HVAC grills were cleaned and replaced with new including two return air filtered vents and two passive pass-through vents. A 400 SF family room addition (not included in home SF above) was treated to perfected wall surface, priming and painting. Moldings throughout the home were darkly stained oak. All moldings were either replaced or sealed and painted, likewise all doorframes. Both common and master bathrooms had all fixtures removed and plumbing relocated as needed prior to reinstalling fixtures. Many fixtures were new as well as new lighting. Excellent appearance and useability after completion. Kitchen and dining area flooring had a number of layers of floor finishes. These were removed to a common height, leveled and smoothed with some subfloor replaced due to age. All cabinets were removed for renovation, walls repaired with some drywall replacement. Walls were smoothed primed and painted as throughout the home. New cabinets were installed as well as countertops that permitted installation of new appliances. There were significant issues with plumbing in the kitchen that were resolved by relocating supply and drains to a new location and reinstalling. The overall fit and finish of the home was vastly improved by Greg Martin and his workers with Easy Does It Home Improvement. I whole heartedly endorse this crew for any home improvement - large or small."
