Carolinas, if your tub, shower or wall tile is hard to clean, dull, chipped, cracked, stained, or just a color you do not like. AMERICAN TUB has the solution you are looking for, RECYCLE instead of replacing and $ave your money with affordable refinishing where the work matters to me because it matters to you. After years of abrasive cleaners and harsh minerals in the water, the glossy shine wears away, opening up microscopic pores in the surface that allow dirt to settle in making it almost impossible to keep clean. Refinishing puts a new gloss coat on, filling the pores and making it easy to clean. So easy, in fact, that abrasive cleaners are not needed and should never be used again.

"The first coat in the stairwell did not cover well; original paint could be seen in several places. They came back to roll a second coat, but did not "cut in" along the edges. Once dry, this left a visible jagged border along the ceiling lines, corners, under the railing, and into the family room at the bottom of the stairs. Apparently, the original gallon and the new gallon weren't mixed together for this project, so the tints were slightly off. So, the original work wasn't satisfactory, and their recommended fix created an even bigger problem -- all the while assuring me that everything would dry evenly and that I would be satisfied. And all that, by the way, after I pre-paid for the work to be done. Their solution to the whole debacle was to make excuses and charge more money. After dealing with the frustration, and a lack of communication and timeliness, I did not agree to the extra expense. In all fairness, he did offer a bit of a discount to make everything right. Shawn is a nice guy and a member of our community, which makes this experience -- and this review -- all the more disappointing. On the bright side, the hallway and the ceiling look great. We're grateful for that."

"Total crooks! Owner Chuck Starks and his assistant Randall Owens had our granite installed at our home by their so called “professional installers”. After job was complete and installers had left. I I noticed they had CRACKED THE GRANITE AND TRIED TO CONCEAL IT, IT WAS CRACKED IN 3 SEPARATE AREAS!! They actually applied a colored bonding glue and walked away like nothing happened!!! Too good and slick for this to be their first time being deceitful! We took pics and video and contacted owner Chuck. This was Feb 21,2020 and we are still playing a “cat and mouse” game with this business owner. He won’t answer my calls and is dodging the situation after he apologized and promised he would replace it. This is obviously the way they conduct business. We are still out of money and a kitchen that is useless. Backsplash and range hood can’t be installed until granite is replaced.I have expressed to Chuck to no avail! They rush to get your money and “2nd grade granite” (that’s another story) I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. I WILL NOT STOP UNTIL THEY REPLACE THIS GRANITE OR PULL IT ALL OUT AND GIVE US OUR HARD EARNED MONEY BACK!"

While they’re heavier than their counterparts, cast-iron tubs are very simple to maintain. They have no seams and are durable, making them the easiest tub to maintain. It’s useful for sealing minor leaks and concealing damage on the bottom of a tub. On the other hand, a bathtub liner is essentially a protective casing that goes over the entire tub. They are usually custom-fit and cost more than reglazing yet don’t last as long.

Before you begin caulking a shower, you’ll need to use a utility knife or solvent to remove the old caulk and inspect the area for mold. If needed, take appropriate steps to get rid of the mold, then wipe everything down with dish soap and warm water before letting it dry completely. Finally, surround the caulking area with two strips of blue painter’s tape—one above the joint where you’re caulking and another below it.
